Honestly this was a home run from me, my personal faves are bulldozer and one kiss just cause I like their more hard hitting stuff poppy stuff although I also love underwater. Just Red Velvet at their best and I'm so happy for it. Honestly SM girlgroups really saved the later half of the year with RV's chill kill and Aespa's drama

My personal favorite is Underwater cause I love their R&B sound, Will I Ever See You Again reminds me of Seulgi's solo debut a lot, I wouldn't be surprised if this song was supposed to be hers

I loved this entire album and have been listening to it the whole way through nonstop!! I think Nightmare is my personal favorite, but I love One Kiss (Joy on the bridge gets me every time) and Bulldozer and literally every single song on the album! Also, the guitar(??) in the prechorus and bridge of Will I Ever See You Again reminds me vaguely of the guitar(?) in Taylor Swift’s Style, which is cool since the songs are so different! Thanks for the amazing reaction!! :) (Also, I think the trailer is still absolutely worth checking out if you do bonus drops for this comeback!)

Idk why, but the instrumental of Iced Coffee is giving me candy crush vibes haha like not the same sound, but the feeling it gives off...which somehow adds to the creepiness for me. Not because candy crush is a creepy game, but because it is a game in the first place, about candy, and it's supposed to be very addicting. It just suits Red Velvet very well

So many favorites, too hard to pick! One Kiss, Bulldozer, Knock Knock, Underwater... Also, Will I Ever See You Again is so different for Red Velvet, with the empty chorus, I really enjoy how dreamy and epic it sounds. My new favorite album from them! I feel like this album really compliments their latest Japanese mini-album "Bloom".

My favorite album from them since perfect velvet! I think the theme and concept is so strong all the way through the b-sides, without quite being a concept album. The combo of that creepy almost supernatural feeling with the fear of losing each other is so good all the way through. It kind of gives me a classic haunted house vibe, and I mean that in a very like Haunting of Hill House or We Have Always Lived in the Castle way. Underwater and Will I Ever See You Again are my favorites by a long shot but Knock Knock and One Kiss are up there too. Every song is so good though it's hard to even rank them.

no one asked for it but heres my initial review: Red Velvet - Chill Kill Chill Kill - 10/10 (def not what i was expected but i dont hate it, the verse and chorus are so contrasting its offputting but i kind of like both sides the eerie dark bass verses to the almost cutesy coming of age melody in the chorus. the bridge was good as it randomly gives city pop rock disco, but not their best vocal wise esp in comparison to their other songs. i actually like it a lot tho! singers will always sing and the song is interesting and unique, and IT GREW ON ME) Knock Knock (Who’s There?) - 9.5/10 (this is what i expected the title track to sound like tbh. very thriller and eerie vibes and the bass in this one sounds similar to the last one. honestly its good but it made me appreciate chill kill more. still good i love the strings and melody in the chorus, wish the bridge had a bigger switch up since the song sort of stays in one place) Underwater - 9.5/10 (a very sexy sensual dark rnb song, love the instrumental and the entire atmosphere i just felt like smth was off abt the melody and vocals? maybe it will grow on me tho) Will I Ever See You Again? - 9.5/10 (its giving alan walker edm again but i love it how its dark yet emotional, however the chorus is a bit empty they def couldve added vocal layering or switch up/add/enhance the chorus the second time, but the rest of the song is amazing.) Nightmare - 9.5/10 (loved it from the beginning. love the slow waltz mixed with dance vibes, sort of reminds me of in n out. the chorus is very bright in comparison to the dark eerie verse which threw me off guard ngl like chill kill, but i like it) Iced Coffee - 10/10 (the instrumental is giving like frozen cave video game vibes i love it, its a very easy listen but it does so much to the melodical beautiful vocals to the minimal instrumental that adds throughout the track and is interesting at the same time, i was very lost in the song love love it! winter vibes) One Kiss - 10/10 (love the dark hiphop trap vibes giving halloween vibes again i love it! was shakin my booty since it started ngl the chorus is def my fav, kind of reminds me of a dark ver of BYE BYE and ZOOM, and the switch in the chorus is soo majestic esp joy vocals!!) Bulldozer - 7.5/10 (def the weirdest song the beginning made me rly confused giving old quirky rv but darker, i like the chorus with the slightly creepy yet girl crush esc vibes, but not a HUGE fan of the talking parts and how short the song is, there def shouldve been a bridge and a full outro, but not bad i def think its the weakest though) Wings - 9.5/10 (serving choral church vocals from the get go they slayed! its a cute bright rnb track which contrasts from the album but somewhat belongs. kinda a somewhat laidback calm ver of butterflies? LOVE the adlibs! just not smth id listen to often i feel) Scenery - 10/10 (and we get the traditional rv ballad ending, honestly i liked it. a rv ballad gon always do it for me! the song is soo beautiful with the pretty acoustic and the heavenly vocals, and the bridge to the last chorus modulation, they served pure calm happy ending ost sunset vibes!) OVERALL - 9.5/10 (i will say i was a TINY bit disappointed but only cus some of the songs i felt didnt click with me first listen like i thought it would, but honestly it made me remember how much i love red velvet and their discography. the vocals, all 5 of them singing together on the chorus, the unique instrumentals, the cohesive albums, the weird raps no one rly asked for but its okay, and the songs itself, how could i not love it? the albums cohesiveness is definitely its biggest strength and the songs were very easy to listen to, i think my biggest complaint is that i wish some of the songs were a bit more interesting and vocal heavy but thats just me being picky. i def think it will get better after a couple of listens but overall RV WE FREAKING MISSED YOU)
