Sketchbook Update 69 (nice) (Patreon)

I figure since I'm doing more nebulous sketchbook updates, I'll just number them instead of naming them after the month. So I went back and counted how many sketchbook updates I'd made, and it was 68 >:). This is actually the end of my current sketchbook, so I'm excited to decorate the cover for my next one! This one spans a WHOLE year, which for me is insane, I used to finish one every few months. I think because I now do a lot of digital sketching, it's a lot slower to fill. Back in my Youth (lol) I did a sketch (or more) a day for years, which in hindsight was mostly just depressing! It's not fun to force yourself to draw and it just comes out bad :').

A lot of these pages are just silly faces, and practicing how to get exaggerated expressions in my style. I feel like so often I get to a silly expression in a panel and I just absolutely kill it with detail and realism, so I spent an evening doodling like a maniac. Theres also some pub quiz printer paper scribbles... but like. I like seeing other artists doodles, so I might as well share.

(I use A4 daler rowney ebony sketchbooks if anyone's interested, they're pretty good with most media, not ideal with lots of water, but it copes.)
