Patreon Exclusive Video - Underworld Theme (Patreon)

Hey Party Members, it's that time again!

This week's song was a bit of a mystery, as far as placement goes. I'm really satisfied with how the piece turned out, but when I went to script a scene, I wasn't totally sure how I should use the tune. 

I opted to go for an "Underworld" theme. Basically like an alternative world map theme if your party goes to a dark world or something in your game (kinda like they did in FFIV, or even how Chrono Trigger had multiple world map themes). 

Since this was the 3rd time I've had an overworld type scene in these vids, I had another chance to sneak in a subtle reference to my older vids. If you want to try and figure it out yourself, go back and watch the "Classic RPG Overworld" video and the "Boat Travel RPG" video I posted back in November.

...still here? Ok, I'll tell ya.

In the "Classic Overworld" video, Miranda gets ticked at Indi for his terrible sense of direction. She kicks him out of the lead position for the party and takes control. Then in the "Boat Travel" video, you can see she is still in the lead. I was able to continue this running gag on this video, as it starts with Miranda tumbling down into the new overworld, or should I say "Underworld" map.

Just a fun little detail I thought I would point out! I try to do a few running gags as I feel they add some cohesion to the world.
