Like I say in the reaction, I think this mini feels like a much needed cool down after the intensity of Maestro and Super even though God of music was there I feel like the other two were more dominant for sure.

Looooved the video for the title track a LOT but definitely disappointing by the music not really doing anything else. A lost opportunity there. Maybe DJ Khalid would've done better on the song if he had the guts to speak up for his people being genocided but alas.

The unit team songs left a lot to be desired for me. Compared to Lalali and Spell I just didn't get much from them.

Either way I am still impressed by how much music they give the fans overall because at this stage they don't really have to but manage to do it well.

Enjoy!

Lmaoo the dj khaled shadee

Akshi Ankita

Hope you check out their Ash performance… they also performed all their new unit songs and songs they had not performed or had not performed in a long time

Ra Ku

Hahahahah the dj khaled shade came unexpected ☺️

i definitely agree about the unit songs not being as interesting as the ones from the compilation album! i think i do like them better than the unit and group bsides off of the god of music and super albums though. something about the production on these tracks feels more modern and clean to me. i did like the music video minus that dumbass man but i really wish they would’ve shown more of the choreo! i saw the video of them performing the title at their concert and the choreography and their stage presence definitely added so much energy to the song. i can’t wait for the dance practice and music show performances. thanks for your reaction as always!! :)

always happy to see DJ Khaled shade. i think Seventeen might be trying to change their sounds or slowly moving towards mature concepts (whatever that is) especially as they transition into this new phase and chapter and i truly thing SVT right here album and Spill the feels are the beginning of that. I felt it with God of music but this album just cemented it for me so I'm very much looking forward to their next full album. Also everyone might start putting out individual music and actually start calling it solos not mixtape.

yeah dj khaled was definitely not the collab I wanted and most of the songs didn't particularly interest me but I totally agree about the video!!! It was so nice and I have such a fat crush on Wonwoo and Jun aahahaha. I'm also sooo sad Jeonghan has gone but maybe they'll do an NCT 127 with their next album?? I'm just praying they don't end up like EXO with all their enlistments at different times and that we rarely see them as a full group

Stella

i really think Seventeenth heaven album prepared us to receive this album alot better. I'm sad with HHU Water, not my best of theirs especially with what we've gotten from the past 2-3 years. I am happy with where SVT is going sound wise cause they really feel so much more confident with their exploration and they are slowly crafting a lane for themselves with this new chapter they are going into. also your boo at the end killed me cause that's how i felt when i realized i was at the end of the album.

"Is he looking at Mingyu?" LMFAOOOO had me dyinggggggggg, those two knew what they were doing lol. As for the album, I think my favs were eyes on you and the tt (it wouldve been perfect without a certain someone but I digress)...the other songs kinda fell flat for me this time idk why

yuta

definitely not my favorite title track but still an easy listen to where i can bop my head

Vikki

Loved your reaction to the mv, and agree with the production value. I got spoiled by first hearing the songs while watching the concert. The energy was missing in some of the other songs for me, in the album…but I did like them when they performed them live.

Ariel

From the time DJ Khaled was announced to be on the title track I was over this comeback 😒 But the mv is good and the song is easy listening. Candy is gorgeous to me and Water is giving Korean version of Fein so those are definitely on my playlist. I agree this feels like a cool down after back to back insane comebacks. Honestly for most of the songs I felt like I could just listen to a different svt bside that would give me what I want. I’m very excited to see where they go next bc I don’t see quality dropping from them.

the hybe gyms need to be evacuated and cleared out cus my god 😭😭 saw a tiktok of wonwoo running downstage from their concert and let’s js say the twins are sitting very nicely!! ANYWAYS this cb feels refreshing in the usual svt way, but still tapping into their usual sounds, which is both a good and a bad thing imo. they’re my favs of all favs but i can attest to the fact that sometimes their b sides tend to blend together a bit for me, like the tt js sounds like fronting, eyes on you reminds me of lucky, yk that kind of thing. i think it’s alright, not their best but it’s still a fun listen!

lol at the dj Khaled shade. This title is a fun track, one of those tracks that would go in my “Mellow” driving playlist. It’s not their most intricate or crazy but it’s a nice energy. This was definitely a much more low-key mini. I liked the vocal unit track. I admittedly also wish they would do some more “high energy” (not sure entirely what term I want to use bc it’s not like Same Dream, Same Mind, Same Night is “high energy” but it’s very engaging and interesting) track as a unit, but I just loved the piano and their vocals on that song, so I just can’t rag on that one, it’s good stuff. Lmaooo at you saying “I thought he was gonna rap next, he’s just there” abt Mingyu, same vibe as them tossing in a shirtless few frames during Lalali, like ‘just a reminder that Mingyu’s here and that you should love him real quick, anyway continuing on’… I wish Seventeen would do collabs that … make more sense. I’m not even talking in a ‘cancel’-y twitter way about DJ Khaled, I dislike him, but I’m also not sitting here and doing sociological moral litmus tests on collab choices. I just mean vibe and sonically. For me, if they were trying to move into a more western push, I think collabing with a producer like Finneas would be cool for Woozi and Bumzu. And I mean, really collabing; getting into a studio together and forming a song (Bc I’m pretty sure they just sent a song to DJ Khaled and was like put some touches on this and your producer tag it’s a collaboration wahooo). Finneas is a really talented producer, and I would love to see what happens if Woozi and him did something together. I have no idea what genre they would play with, but I just think it would be really cool and engaging. Pharrell could also be a fucking iconic collab that I think makes more sense. For Vernon and his hyper pop/punk preference song-writing and production, I think someone like AG Cook, who was on Charli XCX’s most recent album BRAT and has such strong links to early hyper pop production, would be a cool collab from a producer perspective Pledis, if you’re lurking in YouTuber patreons, hit me up and hire me for ideas, I’m full of them at all times lmaooo. Anywho, I’m fully off twitter, I’m not a reditor, and have no other social media, so I’m glad you reacted to this album bc I have literally no other place to put these ideas down lol.

Koko3op

Agreed some of these of these collabs come across very gimmicky and random without any actual musical chemistry! You make some great points.

Jay

Your reactions whenever wonwoo appears on the screen always send me😭🤣 also thank you for CLOCKING Dj Khaled cause I feel this title track was very underwhelming. He’s a producer, but what the hell did he provide them besides his tagline in the song? Frustrates me for sure

Koko3op

Hahah Wonwoo is SOMETHING man. Yeah he's such a wet wipe, I can't stand him.
