Edit: I've patched the soundless version with some things I missed and visibility improvements. Also some adjusted slowmo in part 1. MEGA link updated as this version has a silent audio track rather than nothing to help with compatibility.

After 1 and a half years, Makoto's Metaverse Madness is finally done!

I do want to mention that I DO make mistakes even after rendering what I believe is the final version. I found a few already, but if you have any critics I can potentially get them fixed before the sound finalized version.

You did it. I think all of the grinding you went through experimenting on things is finally starting to pay off. I mean for once, your updates have sounded more positive recently so I hope that is the case. 😁

azmaybe9

I mean absolutely! Last year may have been the worst of my life, but I've been turning it around with work and getting stuff done and MAN it's all finally paying off.

AZ this turned out so amazing. I know how hard you worked on this stuff and it payed off in spades!! Can’t wait to hear the voice acting (if there is any) and sound attached to this one!! Also if I’m not mistaken there’s a mini-giantess who injected herself with the same stuff towards the end. No? 🤔

azmaybe9

Thanks a ton! And yes that was definitely mini-gts at the end with Ichinose from Persona 5 Strikers!

I'm having trouble with the mega download. It says video codec not supported?

azmaybe9

OK, so it's mp4, which is universally supported. But maybe because there's no specific audio it may be messing up? Like no audio track. I'll check Hitfilm for what happened and HOLY SHIT IT'S 2GB! I should re-upload with some fixes.

Pretty late to the conversation, but better now then never I suppose. Anyway! You’ve been working on this one for more than a year? I remember the hurdles you had to confront and eventually persevere through to get to this point, and that is very admirable to see you finally reach this point of completion for this project! And to great results too! There’s a lot to appreciate and dissect from your creation. I’ll try my best to keep it organized and short without overblowing it as I think it already is. The opening downward camera shot of the building really sets the atmosphere and tone of the environment super effectively. As well as presenting the filmmaking and style you are going to showcase for the video. Really great way to bring the viewer straight into the world you want to present. The fight choreography for the first fight is presented very well and entertainingly. The black coloring of the enemy Shadows combined with the red lighting in the background compliment each other really well to present the gravity of the looming threat and for the visuals during the camerawork of the fighting. It makes following the actions happening look real smooth and coherent. Speaking of fight itself, the actions happening feel very calculated and captured very effectively with how you use the camera to follow the movements of Makoto and feeling the impact of her blows. Like that kick, really great sense of impact. What helps is presenting the fight in a 2-D view and transitioning to the more complex actions. The action felt very much like a 2-D video game with those complex actions feeling like scene transitions or special combo actions. It looked really nice, while never breaking the 180 rule. The flow of events happening were really fluid without making anything confusing with the environment, like when Makoto falls to the staircase below her. The Hallway fight scene is really great for the variety of everything happening. The variety in the fighting, how Makoto utilizes her arsenal for long-range combat and even closing the distance in such a narrow and confining space. The growth sequence and how it is used to eliminate the enemy shadows in different ways was very fun. The camera shots of Makoto being cramped in the hallway also magnificently capture her scale and the overwhelming feel of her growth. There’s also the impressive consistency on the lightning in different environments. The harsh outdoor lighting from the opening fight versus the softer hallway lighting. I’m not knowledgeable in the terms or the knowledge of lighting. But I feel there’s a great consistency to the lighting to the two different environments you showed. Despite the difference in intensity and saturation, there is a tone and even palette that feels similar to one another. I could be wrong in how I explain it. But I like how the brightness is captured in both. The building destruction is beautifully captured too! From the outward panning shot of Makoto’s full growth at every level she is taking, to how she moves her arms to capture Joker despite the confined space. And the eventual bursting out of the building, all that action is captured really beautifully with great fluidity. I also love the size comparison with her foot and the van. As well as having the camera focus on the feet trying to stomp the escaping van. That size comparison and action trying to be conveyed is really nice in making the immersion feel pulpable! The entire chase is also really good! Probably the first time I’ve seen a chase scene involving two very different size of vehicles. I also like what I believe is a nod to Sonic Adventures with the downhill street chase. If it’s not a nod, I still think that’s a cool sequence. As is the short unbroken chase down an empty street with Johanna catching up to the van with the rainfall adding to how intense the chase is for Joker. And that ending. It’s evil. Ending on a cliffhanger with a text hinting to the potential of a Part 2. It makes me want to see that. While also respecting and wanting to know how you to want to potentially explore more with Giant Makoto after having worked on this video for so long. Either way. This is a new favorite from you! The choice of Makoto (a GREAT choice for a giantess), the action, the growth sequences, camera shots, and cinematography. All executed to showcase your evolving abilities to great results! Loved it all! And definitely worth the long process it took to get here I believe! I can’t wait to see the sound/voice acted version of this video to get more context of what is happening! And I can’t wait to see what you have in store next!

Man, what a review on everything! The lighting kinda kept to the same idea of a decrepit building while outside was the red atmosphere of the Metaverse. The RAIN was such a bitch because it'd freeze in the air for no reason and sometimes wouldn't even show up! That absolutely was a Sonic Adventure 2 reference. It was longer, but I extended the chase scene backwards instead to add that highway chase. The ending is evil, but we also plan to add more to the video, yes EVEN MORE, when sound comes out. Essentially bringing Makoto back to reality since she goes through is a portal! Then we get to see her other personality side!

VoidSlayer

After 1.5 million years, it's finally done! Now to wait another 1.5 million for the sound.

azmaybe9

I... I'm tryin'! Trying to get through Brighid sound first after Beladdy did sound for awhile. I'm rusty and slower with this than I thought.

Oscar_Polo

When second de part? 👀

Autumn_Storm

There's a lot of little personal touches, small details, and bits of visual humor that punctuate your animations, that give them a very distinct feeling compared to many other GTS animations. That, on top of the general refinement and smoothness of the animation itself. Really sets you apart from the crowd

azmaybe9

Wow, thank you! I think we can blame The Naked Gun, Airplane, and those kinds of comedies for that! And this personal refinement has been a long journey of experimentation, but it has lead to a good variety of content!
