Hellooo~ooo everyone! Time for this week's update! Though it's a day late because I forgot to post it yesterday even though it was fully written up. ╰(*°▽°*)╯

I finally started working on the rest of the CGs for chapter two. The first one being Yren's Ch2 CG. Got that one more or less complete. Time to move on to someone else.
Probably...Noel or Asher. I still haven't quite decided where to put Daaz's CG yet. It's really difficult to pick early in the game because there aren't always key moments that make good illustrations.
There isn't much in the way of "relationship moment" situations. By default, CGs are illustrations of people doing interesting things. So when you have chapters where characters are saying interesting things while *doing mundane things like...having breakfast or walking down a hall...
It gets a little tricky to find moments are going to make a good CG.
That's also why these are all solo CGs. Wil is going to appear in CGs but not yet.
One thing I was torn on for a while was whether to consistently illustrate the same moment for everyone each chapter.
For instance, in chapter one, they all get a CG that unlocks at the meeting. But in subsequent chapters, it's not always as easy to illustrate the same moment between characters.
When it's an important relationship milestone (like the first kiss or something), that's one thing. But at other points in the game, you may unlock a CG for one character in Scene 1 and another character in Scene 4 - just depending on where I thought I could make the most interesting illustration for them.
Anyway, yeah. Working on the rest of the Ch2 CGs for now and trying to figure out where the heck I'll be placing Daaz's CG. LoL
Other
Another week of making many small and moderate script fixes while going through Raif's route. Playthroughs are a bit slow going because I'm constantly stopping to make small edits and such (correcting typos or whatever).
Also, just like during Yren's playthrough, I'm adding additional choices to the common rout there and there where I feel like more options are needed. But yeah, playtest is progressing.
I also worked a bit on the premium game guide. This guide has profile pages and stuff like, which I need to fill out as well as setting up the choice pages. So it just takes time to get it all set up and formatted properly. But I'd like to have it ready to go soon.
There were also some minor fixes and changes to things like the bonus scene functionality, etc. And a few other similar things.
Speaking of the bonus scenes, I haven't really talked about these a lot.
I do not know how many bonus scenes there will be or how long future ones will be. I know that there are some things I really cannot fit in the main story. Additional interactions, POV experiences for the LIs and so on. So I thought I would just add them in as bonus content you can unlock as you play.
I don't think there will be bonus scenes in every chapter but there will be bonus content here and there.
Currently I am working on the bonus scenes for Chapter One - which consist of a 1000(ish) word POV scene for each LI where they sort of ruminate on their first impressions of the MC.
I also started coding in the sprite expressions for Chapter Two….
This is just…a tedious process as usual. Currently I'm working on coding in Wil's expressions as Wil is the most present charracter in the route. Probably half the total expressions are always the MC so I often try to get those done first, so I can go back and do everyone else one by one.
Upcoming Week
This week I will be continuing my playthrough of Raif's route as well as working on more UI stuff and the CGs. Hopefully I get Raif's playtest done and at least one additional CG complete.
I also want to complete some of the smaller outstanding feature stuff before embarking on...flowcharts soooon.
