Showing the progress of developing Logan's Sprite. =)

The initial concept art was done by Greenace, who has worked on other projects such as Lads in Distress. She does nice concept art and saves me a lot of time with costume design and such but her style is obviously very different from mine. And I often have to completely rework poses from scratch when working with her concepts.

Her people tend to have very blocky, stiff bodies with very straight spines, something that is very counter to my style. So one of the first things I have to do is add movement and curves to any sprite design she has done.

I also made some changes to Logan's outfit and hairstyle - the hairstyle was largely an attempt to simplify a bit since I didn't want to have to do braids.

Greenace also chooses very light, yellowy base tones for skin so I nearly always go either darker and pinker or darker and browner.

Overall, as a side character, Logan's sprite is fairly simple without a lot of bells and whistles.  I feel like the biggest change to his design (not counting the change in style - which obviously makes him look quite different) is taking his hair from straight, tied up and braids, and setting it in loose waves.

Gives him more of a wild Fae look, I think. I'm glad I went that route. =3

He's so pretty. Pity he's married. Can't put him on my "Unattainable pretty gingers" shelf because of that. XD
