I just wanted to show off some of the outfit and hairstyle variations we're planning for the sprites in Endgame. I don't have all the sprites done by any stretch, nor do I have all the variations done. This is just to show off some of what we're planning.

I don't know yet if we're going to have any pose variations - if we do, like in Changeling, it'll be restricted to arm movements most likely. They're the easiest to work in later on.

How many outfit variations each character will have will be dependent largely on what's needed. I'm giving everyone a sort of basic set - their default clothes (for Endgame character, this is their "work" outfit), then at least one casual outfit for when they're not working, a training outfit, then their undies (which...for all the guys just means boxer briefs. LoL) There may be some additional things that characters end up needing for their routes.

And what I'm showing here doesn't include any smaller details such as injuries, glowing eyes, and that sort of thing. All of that will be created on an as-needed basis.

Because are sprites are going to be completely (or, at least, mostly) static - I want to at least include a lot of variation in the things they wear and how they look. That way they're still interesting, and they also reflect what's happening on the screen accurately. We did this to a large degree in Changeling, but didn't represent every single story element on the sprites. I want to do that much more faithfully this time around.

Anyway, here are some of the characters for whom I've completed designs on all their basic variations.

Caissa, at the very top:

Default outfit (I may add a blazer to this so it looks a little more dressed up for one particular scene. This out fit can also be paired with his ponytail.)
Casual outfit without the jacket and with the jacket. Hand wrap is removable though I'm not sure we'll ever need to remove it.
Shirtless - which can really be done with any of his pants. Because all the shirts are separate.
Undies. Which are red. Because that's his color. LoL

Magnus

Work Clothes - full outfit, then with the jacket and scarf removed. Also with his braided hairstyle. (Hairstyles can actually be paired with any outfit since they're all separate)
Casual outfit - with and without the jacket. Ponytail hairstyle.
Workout/Training clothes
Shirtless - and with his hair down.
Undies

Jack

Default outfit with the jacket (#4 is the same outfit without the jacket)
Casual outfit
Training/Casual 2 (I actually don't know if he's going to need this one but figured I'd put it in anyway.)
Shirtless
Undies
Formal outfit with his hair brushed. LoL

Ari

Work Outfit - I actually am not sure if I want to have him wear the tie all the time or not. So there are two variations of the "work outfit+jacket". Not sure which I'll use in game yet.
Work Outfit: shirt+tie - Caleb and Ari are the only ones who are going to get the shirt/tie combo because of their role at the start of the game. I want to make sure they stand out, but not too much.
All Black - This, I added....for some reason. I actually don't recall why. LoL. It's another work outfit, though.
Casual - He has another version of this with just the green shirt and no white shirt underneath.
Training outfit
Shirtless
Undies!

So yeah, anyway. Just thought you guys might like a look at some of the stuff we're planning for EG sprites!

...I like green sweaters. >w> Making shinies for those guys might be tricky. Perhaps except for Caissa? We'll see.
