long comment incoming: AHHH im so glad you liked this album!! they just had a comeback but this is honestly still my favorite album from them, idk if they can top it 😭 it might be my favorite kpop album of this year fr. it’s just so cohesive like you said and is so easy to listen to + all their voices are so good and they’re so talented. ik you got a lot of groups on ur plate rn so no pressure 😭 but I think you would vibe w them and their personalities if you ever decide to check them out more ^^ - and omg im so glad sungho caught ur eye, he’s my favorite and i love his voice sm :’) i agree, taesan’s tone when he raps and sings is sooo nice. and i also agree w you abt how their music has this kinda of niche vibe/feeling that’s hard to explain but it’s so playful and youthful yet rlly well crafted and skilled? - my top 3 from this album are prob our, ewf, and so let’s go see the stars but it’s honestly a no skip and i love all songs dearly - yup woonhak is the youngest and jaehyun is the leader ! them two and taesan talk a lot about producing and writing their own music for the group, it’s really cool ! random fun fact: jaehyun is currently an mc with sung hanbin from zb1 and sohee from riize, ppl rlly love their friendship it’s so cute - riwoo’s voice is soo dynamic and he always does rlly nice adlibs. idk how to explain but whenever I hear his voice I always get this feeling like “this is so boynextdoor” - for ewf, you should see them do it 2x speed it’s insane 😭 they actually don’t speed up that “baby boo my sweetie darling” part, they fr just say it super fast 😭😭 for the doors always showing up in mvs and performances, they actually said that they have doors built in diff countries when they do performances abroad ! since it’s too hard to travel w them lmao I thought that was cool - the outro to lifeiscool & dear my darling’s vibes are so good I hope they make more songs like that ! I didn’t expect that sound from them but they suit it so well :o thank you for checking this out !! hope you’re having fun in Korea 😊

boynextdoor is literally my favorite 5th gen group. their music is top tier, especially since zico gives them artistic freedom to produce and write their own music. & then when you see the type of music taesan, jaehyun ( mostly since they are always a part of their music production) and the other members listen to it 100% adds up with the type of music bnd release. jaehyun is the leader ! you were right. my bias is sungho as well if you lock that bias in fr lol. and there are so many distinct and different vocal tones in this group which also makes their music that much more digestible. i feel like a lot of the time nowadays ranges like this is getting to be rare between members. 1. dear. my darling 2. amnesia 3. let’s go see the stars

wait omg this was the loveliest surprise!! im glad you checked this out and enjoyed it sm! they crept up on me so fast and are now my fav group with my fav music haha. might yap a little with this one i think it’s so fun how you noticed certain things right away, like jaehyun feeling like the leader and riwoo having a super distinct voice even if not necessarily given the highlights of the song. given his dancer position, he talks abt how hard he worked to be a singer and u cant help but feel proud since he takes care a lot of the adlibs and vocal parts now :’) i like the gd comparison, my friend frequently jokes abt him being related to woodz lmao keeping up with the group as a whole is so fun bc they talk about their involvement in the songwriting process sooooo frequently. the line of them, jaehyun taesan woonhak, love music so much its admirable :] think this album is still my fav from theirs (even with the wonderful most recent project), it gave me my favorite song from their whole discography aka dear my darling! unfortunate that it’s so short but i like their explanation that it is supposed to be like a letter, hence the title, and thus the length as well. everything is always a purposeful choice with them <3
