I don’t watch award shows since around 2017 or 2018 because I’m not interested in most groups since then but of course I watched this performance as soon as it was uploaded 😌 Lol we used to watch these shows religiously 10 years ago and now most of us don’t even know that MAMA is currently going on and I also saw a comment that MAMA seriously needs to thank BIGBANG because many of us are tuning in for the first time in 9 years 😂

it was actually pre-recorded. they didn't perform live on stage. idk if it's because its a last minute decision to invite them so they couldn't prepare or if they couldn't bring bruno's band so they just pre-recorded it instead but they did pretty cool. love their interactions when they attend for their award.

omg this feels so nostalgic!! bigbang is the first male group that i've ever stan and never have i ever imagine they will comeback again after everytging that happened so seeing them perform in MAMA especially is so surreal. MAMA this year is amazing thanks to Treasure and BIGBANG's performances (and to other groups but yk) these two omg really brought back the old MAMA days. this is really YG's year for real because from 2NE1 coming back to BIGBANG also coming back like eho would've thought they'd be active on 5th gen at the same freaking time?! so crazy to think about but as a big yg artists stan i'm really happy because i've been waiting so long for this moment!!

I was watching the livestream last night and was so surprised when Taeyang and Daesung joined GD on stage since they weren't announced! Even tho I was by myself, at home, the energy and iconicness of this was so overwhelming, as if I was there haha (wish I was!) the discord chat I was in was also going crazy over it!

What an amazing moment. I love bigbang I love jiyong and his craft. I’m just hoping for another world tour from either bigbang or GD bc I really want to see them in concert. GD never does anything small. He goes big or doesn’t do it at all. I love that for him and me as a fan

I got into Kpop towards the end of Big Bang's time at YG, So I don't classify myself as a V.I.P., but I, of course understand how big this is. This performance made me pretty emotional, and I think it is because l they are, quite literally the main influencers of so many of the idols that I listen to and love today, so seeing them perform together after so many years apart, and seeing how happy it made the audience and their fans made me tear up!! I think I said the same thing about GD not having to even sing at the same time as you!! That man is so legendary and he knows it!!

Tears in my eyes is a great way to describe the feeling of this performance from a nostalgia perspective. I also can't even say that I've been at the level to call myself VIP but I've been in Kpop as long as they've been around and they were really the only boy group I followed at that time amongst the soloists and girl groups so it's just crazy thinking about how long it's been and how much has happened but still they're enduring. They still have so much of that original energy! You can feel it through the screen I can't even imagine what it must have felt like in that building.

GD just released a behind-the-scenes video for Home Sweet Home where he also revealed that this was supposed to be a song for Bigbang, but I guess it went into his solo album since TOP left. There's a part after the first verse (the part where GD played a clip of his younger self) where there's some low-toned adlibs so my guess is that's where TOP's part was supposed to be (: This song feels so weirdly nostalgic but thank goodness it was a party song otherwise I would have been crying again 😂 Also, thank you so much for making this reaction video free on Patreon!
