I'm enjoying how this story is starting to shape up. I feel like introducing one of the longer-term conflicts immediately is the right call here, because it acts as a good way to give a kind of thesis statement about the themes.

Which sounds incredibly pretentious, when I say it, but I'm just going to stick with it for now.

I like this version of Yuuna a lot better. She felt a little too bitter last time, and I feel like it was dragging down the whole tone of the book. This one isn't much softer, but she's got a little more grace about her.
