When picking 'Woof Woof' and 'Wowowow', SHINee undoubtedly took a bold risk, but we are so glad that they did.

It was a pleasure to experience and react to such a fun sound and concept coming from such an accomplished group as SHINee.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this reaction but I'm very glad you enjoyed it that much! (It might be just a little too cheesy or silly for some haha). But yes SHINee just as their vast and diverse discography were and are never afraid to do something new and show different sides to them. In nearly all of their concerts you will be watching powerful and sensual performances, the next moment you'll find yourself enjoying the fun and cute tracks just like these ones, and lastly you'll be bawling your eyes out to their beautiful ballads. It's an emotional rollercoaster for sure. No, they are not from the same album or era. Wowowow is older from 2010 (Lucifer album) so basically the time where autotune was very prevalent and Woof Woof at the time of this concert/tour was one of their newest songs that came out in the same year of 2015 with the Odd album! This DVD was filmed on 3 different dates/concerts that they did literally a day or few days before the release of the album, hence the concerts also helped promoting it and a bunch of the songs were performed for the first time ever including Woof Woof (others were Love Sick, An Ode To You, View and An Encore). SHINee has always been known for liking to spoil their new songs before the actual release and while more artists do that nowadays they been doing it years and years ago. Woof Woof is definitely their most musical theater-like song but they have a few other performances along these lines such as in the opening act of SWCV with Why So Serious? and Married To The Music. When it comes to cute and a bit cheesy stages these are probably the most that you'll get in their Korean discography and concerts but they have quite a bit more in Japan lol (as people are known to like their 'kawaii' cute stuff there a lot) and you know SHINee will always deliver fan service. Speaking of the success, it depends on what criteria we are talking about. SHINee's strength was never views or streaming, and not even album sales compared to some of their peers. But they did sell the most albums in total in 2013, as well as won their only artist of the year award so in terms of accolades I'd say that was their peak. In 2014 they didn't release anything in Korea and solely focused on Japan, as well as more individual work (Taemin debuted solo that year and Key debuted in a duo project/unit with Infinite's Woohyun called 'Toheart'). They of course were still doing very well in 2015 though as View went viral (more than they expected) and Odd did good in sales. But SHINee's bread and butter has always been touring and sold-out arenas is where they made most of the revenue. I'd say in that regard their popularity and success has always been pretty similar and it's amazing to see how they've been able to keep their relevancy so stable throughout all these years. SHINee sold out whole Tokyo Dome (around 55K seats) not even for concerts but a fanmeet in 2018! And just this year they sold it out again for their SHINee World VI: Perfect Illumination final concerts at Tokyo Dome (over 100K tickets). They're one of the biggest and most successful Kpop acts in Japan. Moreover, SHINee's latest album Hard released last year accumulated the most 1st day, 1st week and 1st month sales that they ever had; meaning that they're not losing one bit of popularity but to the contrary gaining even more new fans. That is practically unheard of in the industry for a group nearly hitting 2 decades. SHINee is an example of longevity and unwavering relevancy for all other artists. Personally I'd recommend to keep watching this concert as it's still one of their best to date, any set/segment is cool but since you already started this one (probably the longest among them all with 7 songs, thus, why some of them are short versions like Dream Girl) I'd say continue along with Runaway, Ready Or Not, Beautiful and 321. Others would be: 1. Love Like Oxygen, Your Name, Your Number, Love Should Go On, Love Still Goes On (more sensual/emotional); 2. Close The Door, Alarm Clock, Excuse Me Miss, One Minute Back (Excuse Me Miss is one of their most iconic performances that is a must see); 3. Colorful, Jojo, Love Sick (also pretty cute and fun but not as cheesy) 4. One, Better Off, An Ode To You (the slower song/ballad set) 5. Nightmare, Dynamite, Everybody (the most powerful, hard-hitting and physically crazy set remaining); 6. Lucky Star, An Encore (since you already saw Replay of this set and it's the ending to the concert).

Whenever SHINee do auto tune, it’s always a stylistic choice & they never hide it :) Would love to see you guys dive into their ballads from the concerts too!

You did react to Dream Girl's encore stage before and a shorter Key solo version at the MMA 2023 but you still haven't seen the MV for it which is definitely a must! The other MV's remaining in order are: Love Like Oxygen, Amigo, Juliette, Colorful (not a title track but a bside with video as a 5 year anniversary gift to the fans), Green Rain (OST for a drama 'The Queen's Classrom' that has almost no reactions to but it's a great song and the only OST that has a MV with all members featured), Everybody, Married To The Music, Good Evening, I Want You, Our Page, Countless, Don't Call Me, Atlantis, The Feeling (same as Colorful but for 15 years anniversary). I'd also recommend watching any of the following videos to get yourself more accustomed to the SHINee 'lore' and get a better understanding of the group, and their legendary status in the Kpop industry so I won't need to write all these long paragraphs of text (I don't promise that but perhaps to a lesser extent haha). Not really a guide but a very cool video done by Jonathan Miller for their anniversary last year, describing SHINee's impact in Kpop and whole music industry. I think you'd really enjoy this one as it taps into the evolution of the technology, internet, music industry and how SHINee ties into all of that (their impact and legacy as a group as well as individually). SHINee's Impact in Music is BIGGER Than You Think. {{Deep Dive}} [15th Anniversary Tribute]: https://youtu.be/9trZ7XFOL5w It's already somewhat outdated but still the newest and most informative guide out there (over an hour long) from 2022: https://youtu.be/LiYLVmCqazg Shorter introductory compilations from 2020 and 2021 'SHINee setting the bar so high no one can reach it': https://youtu.be/bb80xyEHEoQ 'SHINee still setting the bar so high no one can reach it': https://youtu.be/IDrU5gp5DXc It wouldn't be a lie to say that half of kpop idols are Shawols (or something close to that) they really are some of the most admired, respected and looked up to artists in the whole industry by both seniors and of course many many juniors that even became idols themselves inspired by SHINee. They are also some of the most covered act, majority of their title tracks have been covered by multiple groups and artists to this day but among them top 3 must be Replay (there's almost a tradition that a rookie boy group will cover it), View and Sherlock. Below are some of the compilations proving that (most are older from 4-6 years ago but just to get the idea, the admirers' list keeps on growing every year with new groups, there have also been many new covers since then). Love that you enjoyed this one. If you continue this one, the next songs in this medley are all fun songs too. That's usually what you get in a SHINee concert - epic performances, romantic ballad songs, fun crazy sections, sexy and dark - all in one concert. Would be glad too see you reacting to more of SHINee concerts. Tokyo Dome concerts are also something to check out.

Woof Woof is part of what I call SHINee's musical theater songs, along with songs like Girls, girls, girls (swc3 concert performance!) And Queen of New York.

"Musical theater" is such a great way of describing it. We love how campy SHINee can get while still managing to make their songs legitimate bangers.
