Starting this Friday we enter the Forest of Death. This has been the cause of a lot of thought, I've put a lot of effort in to figuring out the best way to approach it. Dozens of plans, lots of cool ideas, some will work out some won't.

All in all though, for the type of techniques I wish to employ, and the kinds of scenes I wish to create, I do have to make a few basic changes.

1. Chapters will now be around 2400 to 2500 on average.

2. Chapters will be twice a week instead of three times.

This means that on the average week I will post around 4800 to 5000 words of Sakura chapters. As opposed to previously when I posted around 1600 word chapters, meaning the average week was around 4800 to 5000 words of Sakura chapters.

That's a joke, I'm saying the amount of content will stay the same.
I think this might become a pattern. 1600 3x a week for more light hearted arcs, 2500 2x a week for more heavy arcs. We'll see though, originally 1600 was to help my mental health and I think I'm much more capable now than I was 7 to 8 months ago.

All in all, I expect little to change, and public chapters will swap to 2x when they catch up, maintaining the 7 week lead Patreon has on the public.

3. Updates are Friday/Saturday, Monday/Tuesday.
Side stories are Wednesday/Thursday.

Have fun ya'll.

Sometimes you gotta adjust format.

Yeah. I haven't been super happy with the 1600 chapters for kind of a while now. Trying to do more serious stuff with it just sucks. The Written test should not have been like 6 chapters.

Lol

Hey no prob do what works for you. I save up a bunch of chapters and read them so the short lengths haven't been too bad but reading chapter by chapter I could see how serious moments getting cut off would be both frustrating for the author and the reader.

It's pretty bad, yeah. Even beyond cut offs and thematics is that when a 1600 word chapter I have to stop earlier and edit, meaning less gets done in the same amount of words.
