[Closed] Collecting Short Story Prompts for September 2024 (Patreon)

NOTE: This month I will be taking whatever Prompt gets chosen and doing another story in HappyAfter VR setting. For those who don't remember, it is a high tech & fantasy setting where when you are going to die, you can go post biological instead and join any number of servers in a digital after life.

Once again I'm here to ask all of you for short story prompts! I'll take the more popular ones as decided by the number of hearts (or that I particularly like) in the comments and make a poll at the start of the month. The winner will be made into a short story of a thousand or so words.

Not many rules on what you can suggest at the moment. That will mostly be figured out as we go. Besides that, the short story will come out before the end of the next month.

Rules for prompts:

  • No NSFW (Patreon would get testy about that)

  • No prompts about anything directly related to my current stories (can't be something the MCs would come across)

  • Not doing depression or similar

  • You may post previously posted prompts as long as you credit the original person to suggest it if it wasn't you

  • A part 2 for any short story is going to be rare to non-existent

Story Prompt: DUI (Dungeonning Under the Influence) "'-Divine Dungeon of the End-' has been full cleared for the first time." As this notification is spread across the world, emperors, archmages, even a few dragons gather in front of the no longer undefeated dungeon of legend, only to see a drunken man in dirty peasent clothes stumble out of it. "HA! Told ya I could do it! Ya owe me 20 silvers, Darian ya basterd! An' ya betta not av' chugged any o' my beer!!!"

Story Prompt: The Systeme got scared. Start with the earth AT science-fiction level of tech (pre-ftl) When the system arrives and begins initiation and scans the earth's history to set the level integration and danger level, the system gets scared and runs away. Now humans have unlocked ftl and dominate the universe.
