Relaxation long induction - 

“Sweeeet!” was Laura’s drawn out reply as she got into a more comfortable position. “Well, here you go…hypnotize me!” 

Rayne gulped and started her induction. Focusing down on Laura’s feet, and describing how she was slowly feeling all of her muscles loosening and relaxing. How she could feel them letting go little by little as the relaxation moved up her body, ever so slowly, relaxing every muscle in her body, one by one.  

Laura started to breathe more and more deeply, as she carefully watched Rayne the whole time. She wasn’t trying to make the poor girl nervous, just observing her to see how she was doing with the induction. At one point Laura started to giggle, but Rayne had actually read up on how to handle such a situation. “It’s ok to laugh…” she started “it’s ok to giggle. Laughing only helps us to release tension and lets you relax deeper and deeper when you’re done.”  Rayne was nearly shaking as she finished with that line, hoping that it would work. 

To her relief, Laura let out a healthy chuckle and then sighed as she slumped down even more into her chair. Rayne continued to describe how every breath would only help her to sink deeper and deeper down into trance, and how her eyes were getting heavier and heavier. How every time she blinked her eyes would take longer and longer to open up again. 

Laura could feel herself slipping into trance and a small smile escaped her lips as she took in a deep, slow breath. She was about to make a comment on how good Rayne was doing, but before she could her mind simply let the comment go. She knew it had drifted away, and that realization pushed her over the edge. Her eyes gently slid closed as she sighed peacefully and slumped down into her chair, just as gravity kicked in and started to tilt her head back. It stopped briefly before it finally went completely limp and loose as it tipped backward. Her mouth was open and her face was focused on the ceiling as her hands slipped off of her lap to hang loosely at her sides. 

Rayne simply smiled as she realized Laura had been hypnotized… 

Pendant Induction - 

“Sweeeet!” was Laura’s drawn out reply as she got up and grabbed a pendant with a pink gem at the center of it. She sat down with a smile and handed it to Rayne, “Well, here you go…hypnotize me!” 

Rayne held the pendant up between her and Laura and took a slow breath. She was nervous, and it was showing in the way the pendant was hanging. So instead of trying to swing the pendant from side to side, she started to twist its chain. This made the gem start to spin in front of Laura’s eyes. 

“Focus on the pendant Laura, focus on it as it starts to spin slowly and easily in front of you. Spinning all the way to the right, and then all the way to the left. Little by little, spinning more and more deeply, more and more easily. Just allow yourself to simply follow the spin, and focus. Watching the light play off of the gem, watching how it sparkles as it moves past your eyes. Deeply and easily as it spins.”

To Rayne’s surprise, Laura seemed almost completely transfixed by the gem as she simply watched it spin one way, and then the next. Her face was already showing signs of relaxing and her shoulders had begun to slump. She couldn’t tell if her pupils had dilated yet, but the fact that Laura, who was usually very chatty, wasn’t saying anything implied that she was already sinking under. 

“Just watch as the gem simply moves left and right, and notice that every rotation, every shift in a direction, and every full stop, helps your eyes to get heavier, and heavier. You start to feel exactly how sleepy you are, how much you just want to…close your eyes now Laura… and sleep…”

Laura’s eyes were fluttering as she tried to focus on the gem, they were sinking lower and lower all while her head was starting to tip forward. Once or twice she caught herself just before she fell forward completely, but then she started the slow descent back down. She couldn’t keep her eyes open anymore. Sleep...yes, sleep sounded so nice to her. And with a gentle sigh she closed her eyes and let her head fall to her chest, deeply relaxed and deeply asleep. 

Rayne smiled to herself and in her mind screamed a nice loud “Yes!” But only in her mind, of course.
