The excitement I felt during this episode almost had me passing out 🤣 To be honest, even though I value everyone's opinions, I am very happy that we decided to watch episode 1 first because it gave us a foundation in understanding Rengoku's personality and values.

I think it was important for us to understand that heading into the movie.

sarah i can't describe how excited i am for you guys to see the next few seasons of demon slayer. if you thought season 1 was good, y'all are in for a roller coaster of emotions for the next few seasons. also, rengoku is literally the best ever.

Rengoku is best boy. Also if you close your eyes when he's talking you can DEFINITELY hear Daichi speaking hahaha!

alsooo, fun fact for yall! the scene of rengoku saying, "delicious!" after each bite he takes from his meal mimics what japanese soldiers do. during war, they are taught to appreciate each meal to the best of their ability, because their next battle could be their last. or something like that (sorry if i'im wrong) lol. so the anime is already introducing rengoku as a passionate guy

I meeeeeaaaannn, the fireball is non-diagetic so while we the audience see it, it doesn't exist within the world. So Rengoku is just running...very fast. I mean yeah the total concentration breathing is like any other skill; some folk will be better at it than others. But if Fuku had the determination, she could probably learn flame breathing and learn to run very very fast, yeah.

this! i was so disappointed when i found out that the cool fire, water, and lightning effects are indeed, just effects. when rengoku uses flame breathing, there are no actual flames that come out of his sword, but the technique that he uses mimics those of flames, if that makes sense! but for my sake and enjoyment, i pretend that the effects are real lol.

Keep it. Bursting the bubbles is better than spreading misinformation. There are people who still refuses to believe that those techniques don't produce real water, fire, etc. and they keep spreading that around.
