You guys were right.... this arc was incredible 🤩 It kept getting better and better as we went, and even though this wasn't the feel-good episode we had hoped for, it got us even more excited for what's to come!!

I am also so relieved that Uzui survived and that he is going to be able to retire and live in peace with his wives 😍

Welcome to the end of the Entertainment District Arc. I am glad you two enjoyed it as much as we did. Definitely up there in terms of anime quality production. Also, I'm happy that you started to like Uzui more after his rough start. Love the takes you two make. Infinity Castle is indeed an awesome name. You finally met the demon who shares the same voice actor as Light Yagami and a certain twin in Haikyu!! Looking forward to watching the next season with y'all.

I didn’t actually feel for Daki and Gyutaro the first time I watched demon slayer. I was still so upset with them that even that sad backstory didn’t faze me. I thought it was sweet that Daki went to hell with her brother but it’s also sad because she could’ve went to “heaven” and got her soul saved and probably would’ve been born into a better life. Can’t wait for next season it has one of my favorite hashira in it!!

Gyutaro and Ume/Daki's backstory gets me every time, especially with the Tanjiro and Nezuko contrast. Dammit, Demon Slayer, why can't you just leave well enough alone and let me continue to hate these villains!

I often see you guys commenting on how the Hashira speak to/address their colleagues/people around them and honestly it never bothered me. It reminds me of how soldiers in war are often depicted speaking to each other in the movies I watch. They give me the impression of being battle hardened and jaded and their way of addressing each other reflects that and also reflects their comfort level with each other. That isn't confirmed anywhere in the story mind you, that's my head canon, lol.

To explain her name Ume, written with the kanji character 梅, which commonly means "plum" and is often seen in Japanese names. but in the context of the entertainment district, the same kanji, 梅 (ume/bai), appears in the term 梅毒 (baidoku), which means "syphilis" , hope this give more context

I love the detail of Gyutaro turning human in that very last shot int he fire. For recommendations, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood and Hunter x Hunter are fantastic options, but they are long.(FMAB being 60ish episodes and HxH being 130ish) They're worth considering but they are a bit on the long side. A more recent show with a more reasonable 26 episodes that I think you'd enjoy would be Frieren.

Yessss can't wait for you to see AoT. Also think you two would really like both Frieren and Apothecary Diaries, if you're looking for a shorter anime to watch (both have only one season out right now) and to experience a wider variety of anime

I don't know why but i was not a big fan of Entertainment District arc in my first watch cos i thought the fights were too long. But watching it with you guys has given me newfound appreciation for this arc. Daki and Gyutaro's backstory hit me like a truck! I love how invested you guys were in this arc. That being said, I cannot WAIT for y'all to watch AoT. I truly believe AoT and Haikyuu are the best animes ever made. They're my top 2 and something tells me they're gonna be yours too 😌😌

I really enjoyed the entertainment arc district, I thought it escalated so quickly in the fighting and the emotional toll of the dynamic between Daki and Gyutaro vs. Tanjiro and Nezuko was always such a sticking point to me. Again, one of the things I love about demon slayer is that it’s pretty good at answering the questions that come up about “what’s this or what’s that” in a succinct way. The questions surrounding how Muzan is related to the Master, Nezuko’s power upgrade, etc. it’s exiting to see how the seasons progress to answer your burning questions and generate more. That demon that showed up shares a voice actor with a certain character in Haikyuu. Can you hear it Sarah? Hahaha I heard it the first watch through and then immediately looked up the voice actor and found out I was right. Some other people have recommended it too and I echo the sentiment, but please watch fullmetal alchemist brotherhood when you can. (There are two versions of fullmetal alchemist anime, they’re both very good but the brotherhood version is a re-make by the original studio to match closer to the manga since the first anime caught up too quickly to the source material and then went a different direction plot-wise). It is my favorite manga and anime that’s got all the markings of wonderful storytelling. I believe there are many people who compare Attack on Titan to fullmetal alchemist so if you like AoT, I think you’ll really like FMAB.
