Poor little guy. Hinata's got a lot going on in his head, and that self-doubt and the, "What am I doing here?" question is an experience I think a lot of people have at one time or another, regardless of what they are into.

Ushijima definitely didn't mean anything malicious by it, but it's important for Hinata to figure that out! Not as much talking this episode... mostly watching, but we loved it as always 😃

And after that meltdown Hinata finally understood, with renewed resolve he picked up those mops and accepted his true calling, to become the greatest janitor in Japan, best mopper in the east, vanquisher of all stains. 🧹🪣🧽

I would like to recommend another sports anime, Ace of Diamond . Although it's about baseball, AOD and Haikyu are two of my favorite sports anime. I'm sure you're gonna fall in love with it.

The power of the storage closet! No broken brooms this time though. I feel like Coach Ukai and Takeda subtly shine in this episode, they're the sort of people you want to be teaching and mentoring kids.

Minor detail that the show glosses over is Coach Washijo yelling at Hinata more than the other ball boys. Back in season 3, Ushijima tells Goshiki that coach yells at him more because he expects more of him.

hinata is literally the definition of ask for forgiveness, not permission 😭😭 however, this episode is always such an emotional one. Hinata is such an inspiring character who is flawed but growing.

x') This episode after the Secondhand Embarrassment Episode really HITS -- those actions sure have consequences, Hinata! But it also is one of those good quieter moments that he definitely hasn't had in a long while; to actually Watch and consider and Think about things instead of react or charge forward, he can only grow from hitting rock bottom. I also really love the insights from both Coach Ukai and Takeda-sensei this episode -- I think it's awesome that they're giving Hinata that good balance of guidance but also letting him figure things out for himself with their full support he owns up to his actions -- again, it can only help! *REALLY* excited to see all your thoughts to Ep 3 ;)
