And the plot thickens even more... Also a heads up for the last episode of this season, episode 13 is actually part 1 of the 2 parter and part 2 is the first episode of the next season. And it's quite damn good as well. No where near as good as season 5 of rtte but still fantastic Personal favourite episodes: - Bullalord Soldier - Tone Death - Family on the Edge (REALLY REALLY good episode) - And ofc the 2 parter but that was kinda obvious And a heads up about the new intro. It is a new intro but it just features new dragons that we've already seen before. They can't really spoil the future dragons because that takes all the fun out of it.

Told you that you wouldn’t believe what happened in this episode. Dagur turned good guy, and actually flying on Toothless. The impossibly unthinkable basically happened in this episode. And it keeps getting better every episode this season

Ah yes The beginning of Dagur’s redemption arc. Some people like his change and others don’t. Probably because of something where dagurs very obvious and strong mental disabilities wouldn’t allow such a change…I personally think his redemption arc works. They spread it out well over a few episodes…

I feel like 1 episode a day is perfect. It gives you the best experience of the show. But trust me for the last episode of this season (Part 1 of the two parter) you'll have an urge to watch the 2nd part right away even though it's the first episode of the new season. I guess we'll see when we get there lol.

It works really well imo because it's not sudden. He even said himself he spent months (Im assuming like 2 months ish) alone just thinking about his past actions.

Ok so I'm gonna be real honest I forgot that it only shows dragons that we have already seen although for season 5 and 6 it does show 1 new thing so that's my bad, I hadn't seen the intros in a while so I apologize

This is the one aspect of the show I don’t like, just due to execution. It happens off screen. Kinda fails at the show, don’t tell. It’s not terrible, but it’s very jarring.

See, this is the episode, where dagger started getting closer to Heather on my ranking standings. He’s so deranged and the switch seems almost impossible but alas, this episode shows possibilities for growth and change even though we all know, dagger has several mental problems👌

First time I watched this I immediately paused and ran to check something. The dragon hunter brand is the same one that Eret son of Eret has on his chest in HTTYD 2

Yeah same. I think it had to have happened off screen. Episodes dedicated to Dagur and his changing personality would be problematic for 3 reasons: 1.) It wouldn't focus on the main plot points like Viggo etc 2.) It would be very boring to watch after a couple of episodes 3.) It would take away from the central characters (the riders) The thing this show does well is that it's paced in a way that they cover a lot without making it overwhelming and hard to follow. All credits due to the writers, they skip on aspects that aren't really needed and focus on key points

Damn really? I appreciate the detail the animators and writers put in even more now. I knew they focused on so many small details throughout the show but that's next level of detail. And it's not really a spoiler for him bcs he's already watched the 2nd movie so

I think it's a good analogy for the real world. MOST people are still capable of change. In Dagur's case he wasn't able to change because he always surrounded himself with bad influences (Ryker, Viggo, etc)

Buffalord soldier is quite damn good but is nothing when you compare it to Blindsided. The best rated episode of the entire series.
