This series is just incredible at creating the most unpredictable plot ever. Like you honestly can't predict it sometimes and I love it. Same goes for ATLA omg I'm in love with both these series now. Also yes the ninja looking guys on the island are actually Heather and Hiccups models just covered in black clothes cloned. Obviously for time saving purposes they can't create tons of different looking characters. And if they do it usually means they're important characters.

Snotlout is an a**hole but, he’s our a**hole. That’s the best way to describe him. A sensitive insecure muttonhead with a lot of growth and is actually funny. He’s the one character that gets rightfully annoyed in familiar situations that lead to dreadful peril. “Oh sure come bail us out again! It’s always the snot that has to clean up the mess!”

Astrid says it best in season 5 and you're right. By the end of the series my man has visible character development and I love it. Shame they did him so dirty in the 3rd movie since it was totally unnecessary but that's one of the why I prefer to not acknowledge its existence.

If you want my opinion, think of this franchises ending as the end of the 2nd movie. Anything after that I rather not acknowledge. Because after the end of the 2nd movie we have a detailed description of the riders, their lives and their character arcs. 3rd movie destroys that with the context of rtte and it's really sad. The franchise is made better by rtte and how its cannon but the 3rd movie is even worse. But the 2nd movie is literally 100x better with rtte lol

The best thing about the third movie is the really quite good conclusion to hiccup and Astrid’s relationship. It had to end in a marriage. But them trying to randomly shoehorn in the ending of the books into that movie without nearly enough build up or proper context fails on so many levels and actively screws up so much of the lore. God I love the books…that saga really does need to be brought back into the spotlight…
