Something important about the end credit with Zola. This is not really a set up of season 2 as the show was not sure they would get a season 2. This is just an explanation for the origin of Hydra brainwashing capabilities used by Zola on Bucky and by Daniel Whitehall in AOS and also the red room. His comment about America being the land of opportunity is foreshadowing him and Hydra infiltrating the American government and specifically him being a part of Project paperclip which we recently heard about in AOS 5x13. He will join shield when it is created and work alongside Howard. We saw this in Endgame. We know that Howard never gives up on making another Steve and that ultimately gets him killed by Hydra to make more winter soldiers but I wanted to remind you that the government have Steves DNA via his blood. Which means Hydra had access to his DNA.
