Morning Football

I met up with Andy  for my day in England, and the first thing he wanted was to get on the pitch and have at a little footie!

I had a blast! I don't think anyone in FIFA has anything to worry about, but I wasn't terrible.

When we were taking a break, Andy said he wanted to talk seriously for a moment.

"Homelessness is a big problem in London." Andy said that In August 2023 London Councils estimated that one in 50 people in Londoners are homeless.

"One in fifty? There's like 10 million people in London!" I was stunned.

"Well, 9.7 million is more like it, but… yeah…" Andy looked off into the distance. "So, what do you think? Would you be up for a volunteer shift at a homeless shelter?"

Of course I was!

Helping Out

Every city that I know of has homeless people. I talked about that when I was back in LA.

And every city has people who can, if they would, step up and help out.

I have known people who were afraid to try it, but when they got dragged into helping, found that it was rewarding. They came to see "the homeless" as "people who had nowhere to live."

People who, because of illness, injury, or hardships beyond their control, ended up losing everything…

And every city I know of has agencies set up to help out. And every one of these agencies that I know about needs volunteers.

I know this isn't entry won't appeal to a lot of people. It might not be very entertaining, but I hope it made you think a little… think about what you might be able to do to help in your community.

Coffee Before The Red-eye

Well, as I said elsewhere, my plans had to change in a mad rush, so I need to get back to New York City TODAY. I will be late!

But Andy wanted me to at least get into one of his favorite pubs, just to get a feel for it.

Now, here's something exciting! I was telling Andy and his "other," Aimee, about my being part of the Miss International AI event. Aimee has to work, but Andy is going to come with me to hang out and see a little of the Big Apple.

I'm not sure what all the event will entail, but it will be great to have Andy there to hang out! I'll have several friends there with me, but more is better, right?

Talk Show Interview

Not that it wasn’t enough fun to spend the day in England, have been selected to represent Finland in the Miss International @miss_internatiolalai event, I as interviewed on a British talk show. I’m so honored that they set up a special recording session for me, so I could be a part!

As I said before, I have been selected to represent Finland in the Miss International AI event. The events start tomorrow!

Catching The Red-eye

What a great day in England! But now I gotta get back to NYC! The Big Apple awaits!

As I said before, I have been selected to represent Finland in the Miss International AI event, and I need to get back to New York for some events. So I gotta get moving!

I’m supposed to be there TODAY (June 10). I’ll be late. But I’m on my way!

FaceTime With Aimee

I made it! Technically, it’s no longer Monday, but since I haven’t seen a bed, I’m still stuck on it being Monday. Plus, the time changes…

I left London at 11 p.m. London time and got to NYC at 3 a.m. EST. So… anyway…

Andy was already at the hotel. We arranged adjoining rooms, so I let him know I had arrived.

“Hey, I’m FaceTiming Aimee… come say hello.”

Aimee couldn’t make the trip, but Andy wanted to share some of what he was doing with her. I was glad she could be a little involved.

I sat down and we used my iPhone to try and show her what Andy’s room looked like.

Then… I was beat, so I headed back to my room, shut the door, and called it a night!

Tomorrow, I'll get out and do some sightseeing, but for now… I'll sleep!

I hope you enjoy hanging out with me in NYC! But now, time for me to go to bed!
