Atom Eve and Invincible (Patreon)

My next piece for this month is a new set of characters I've not done before.  I was recently introduced to a comic series called Invincible.  The series has a very well received animated show on Amazon Prime.  I just finished the first season...and I think it lives up to the hype!  It's only 8 episodes, so if you haven't seen it I highly recommend it (warning: the show is very violent).

Invincible is the male protagonist of the series.  The story starts off with him getting superpowers and learning how to live with them.  Atom Eve is a superheroine introduced early on as a potential romantic interest for Invincible.  My drawing features Atom Eve unconscious and being rescued. 

What's really cool about the series, is how it deconstructs typical superhero tropes.  Invincible doesn't always win his battles, and he isn't always able to save everyone.  He starts off idealistic, but quickly learns that decisions have consequences, and being a hero isn't easy.  Anyway, I won't say too much more about it.  You should just watch it yourself!

Update 5/9/2021: Added flat colored version.  I ended up choosing a sky and clouds background, which I felt matched the mood of Invincible's comic covers.
