Thumbnail/Title Poll - Spencer's (Patreon)

I have a new video in the works I plan to release the Wednesday before Halloween. It's about Spencer's, the crazy store you see in just about every mall. There's a couple different directions I could go with it so I'm asking which title and thumbnail you believe would be the most attractive.

The Rise and Fall...And Rise Again: In the late 1990's/early 2000's they were struggling with an outdated reputation and I assume declining sales. It took some big changes starting in 2003 to get them back on track.

The Eventful History: They started as a catalog in the 1940's and have gone through some major changes over the years. 

The video will almost certainly be a blend of both but I'm trying to decide where the main focus should be. I made potential thumbnails for both that I've attached that may help you decide. Really appreciate the help.

I liked the Graffiti aesthetic but it was a little too hard to read.

Agreed, very hard to read. My hope there would be that people would see the text in the title along with it and it would make the thumbnail easier to read.

The Eventful History feels a superior thumbnail. The text could use a different font if one is available and applicable, for legibility, as far as graffiti is concerned.

That's the tricky part, pretty much all graffiti fonts are hard to read. There are some that are a little better but I don't know if it's worth the tradeoff of having it not match the Spencer's logo. Do you think the title is superior as well? Because I could also use that style for the other one.

I am really looking forward to this video (whichever name you choose to use). I have not seen a Spencer's Gifts in many years (I don't go to malls much) but I have very fond memories of them from my teenage years back in the 1980s.

I like the Spencer’s graffiti thumbnail and believe the title is superior as well. For the sake of legibility, you could leave “Spencer’s” the way it is, but modify the text below that says “The Eventful History” to a font that is a bit more readable. Hope this helps.
