Away allocations (usually 10% of the stadium capacity) are given to the visiting club, who then sell them to their own fans via their online ticketing platforms. There are sometimes 'family' sections in stadiums which are generally lower key. Dedicated away sections came about from hooliganism and stadium crushes, a lot of really tragic events had to happen to get things to where they are now.
