I'm sorry but I love tongue, it feels like an episode from an alternate universe. Amir realizing he messed up but being too divorced from reality to realize the weight of it is so funny. "Ah, dammit I'm sorry. I think I messed up." "That's normal, that's gonna happen.". and I think it would be less disturbing if it was even more cartoonishly hyper violent

It's insanely jarring, and so tonally unique that anyone who's familiar with Jake and Amir would never see it coming. I think a lot of people watch them on playlists and in no particular order, so, perhaps some scarred folks out there. It is wildly funny, though, actually seeing one of these off-camera stories happen right before our eyes. As far as Ace and Jocelyn, I consider them charming and cute, not necessarily funny.

When it first came out I hated tongue, so much so that this is only the second time I've watched it. I think because it was so gross and shocking. I have to say that I enjoyed it much more the second time around though and the french kissing jokes and Pat's cameo were really funny.

They talked over most of the jokes in the Ace and Jocelyn (like Amir editing over Jake's responses to make it sound like he's on board with the whole thing). I'd like to think they'd rate it higher if they'd heard them

I can only imagine the number of dislikes are from people unfamiliar with the series. Mutilation, self or otherwise, is a running theme throughout the show.

I loved Tongue. One reason is cause of the slight moan that you can hear whenever CPR is given to them. I thought they would've brought it up but I think they didnt hear it cause they talked over it.

I think the reason Tounge was so disliked was mostly because it dident feel like a normal Jake and Amir episode at the time since it was so overproduced. I personally liked it, but do remember the comments talking about how it felt off, or not like Jake and Amir

You are rating your episodes way too high. You outright say Ace and Jocelyn is bad but still give it a C+. Amir says B+ is average, C is average guys. Also I love Tongue

I remember the pure shock I had when seeing tongue on the day it released. I would rate it lower because everytime I've watched it I just think about how fucking painful that would be.

I think the reason people don't like Tongue is just because it doesn't really feel like a proper Jake and Amir episode. Like, it's so random and insane, it's got a whole different style to it.

I get where you're coming from but I don't think the purpose of this series is to just see them react to every joke. They're deconstructing each episode and providing insight on the process of making the videos from a writing and production stand point. I was actually pleasantly surprised when I joined to see how in depth these videos are. Again I know some people just want to see them react to the absurdity of every moment in the series, but personally i'm glad that there's more to these videos than that.

Tongue is probably my favourite episode. It's the first one I show to people who haven't seen jake and amir...that might be why I haven't converted anybody into a jake and amir fan.

The first time I watched Tongue was in my university's library. I was rendered motionless with shock while strangers were constantly walking around behind me. I don't know if any of them saw what I did, but this was so macabre that I've only re-watched this video a few times...

I think Tongue only got to as many people as it did because of how visceral the gore is. Even when Jake got stabbed it was all comedy violence, but Tongue upped the game and people, including myself, kinda got tonal whiplash from it. However, looking back it's a funny episode.

I honestly can't stand to watch Tongue, it's too gory and real-looking... it's too well-done and specifically the idea of having your entire tongue cut off is so horrifying... But every single Ace and Jocelyn episode is pure gold
