Hey folks!
We are in our first month for the push for 0.0.25.
Normally, I would give a full news update to everyone on the state of the game. But we've been really busy.
Most of this month, I spent having meetings with the team and planning. A full week of just admin work. The rest was working on this surprise build!
After some of the planning to figure out how the rest of EOK was looking, I decided that we needed to get some testing in for dual combat. So we spend the last few weeks getting the system up to speed with our current code base. (We finished the core system but at this point in the story there wasn't any way to get it up running without spending a huge amount of time.)
So we worked on getting this build out to you folks. You can see the rough start for William's combat. It's very buggy and only has test art. It would have costed us a lot of time to do more, so we focused on the code. We wanted to get a build out to you folks, so we can get some testing in. Keep in mind this is a dirty build. It's gonna be buggy and there isn't any new art or story content.
If you go to the camp you'll see this. There's no UI support yet for William aside from basic battle UI and all of his move sets are right now just a copy of Avina. We'll be adding polish to that over these next few weeks as we nail down combat items.
Chapter one progress
We pretty much have the story of Maria finished. We sent the rough draft to our writer and we have her making dialogues for the visual novel. It's pretty weird that we are taking a stab in the dark at this. Creating a workflow while making the content. We slowly moved all of our assets to an art/writer board and started mapping out the story to keep ourselves on track.
The art department is going about the same. I'll drop down some early work we made a few weeks ago of npcs and some first roughs we made for new characters and art assets. (it's getting hard not to show off some of the story art we have since.... well spoils. ) Working with different styles of art into a single project is also another challenge that we are just figuring out on the fly. (Don't get me wrong, I'm having a blast with this!)
That's all I have to share. We'll be updating a lot of the old sex scenes as well since we need to update them. Everyone has a lot to do but we are making progress. I'll be posting more soon, please be patient with us as we get this train to full speed.
