As a Beatles fan this episode was amazing. I had no idea they were going to be in it. I felt the same anticipation at the beginning of the episode that Ruby did. Epstein was their manager. I hoped the episode was going to end the way it did (not counting the musical number) so I was so happy it did.

This is perhaps the downside of how heavily the BBC promotes the show's content in advance. For me it's been months and months of 'we're all getting a Beatles episode, a Beatles episode, a Beatles episode; we're all getting a Beatles episode, etc.' I'm still excited but a lot less spontaneously. Apparently during 2017 they did the same advance reveal of John Simm's return. Thank God I missed that and was surprised in the moment by it. I went to Liverpool in 2021 and did the Beatles Museum (one room is shaped like a yellow submarine and made of submarine like material) and Magical Mystery Tour where you go to Penny Lane, the Strawberry Fields psychiatric institution (now closed except when in use as a wellness meeting place) whose gates John Lennon used to climb, the bus stop Paul McCartney used to make in seconds flat, all their childhood homes, and the village hall where John and Paul first met in 1957. Can't recommend it enough.
