Hey all, and Happy Halloween

I thought now would be a great time to give you an idea of what to expect in the next Nellie and the Nanites.

It's been quite a journey for Nellie. Starting out lost and alone in an ore belt at the back of beyond, she had never once shied away from a challenge. She has grown by building her own ship and starting her own haulage business, fighting pirates, being hunted across the sector, and even rescuing Paren from her captors.

Challenge after challenge has come her way, and the goal has always been the same. Survive.

Surviving and thriving on a planet at war, escaping the sectors, and even fighting her own war, Nellie and her crew have gone from strength to strength as they overcame an escalating series of foes.

The result of all of this change has been the creation of the Nanite Imperium. A part of space under her own control, with no enemies left to threaten the area... as far as she knows.

Now, the intrepid Captain turned Queen will face what may be her greatest challenge yet: Establishing a society of her own. There hasn't been much time before to worry about the rule of law, the rights of her people, or anything other than survival.

The Imperium has survived the war; now, it must try to survive the peace.

With Paren growing in power faster than anyone had expected, how possible is it to control her more worrying tendencies?

Leah has her own army of assassins, but where does she come from, and what does she want?

Robot, the half-insane survivor of horrific experimentation, seems to be tapping into the power of Transit Energy...

And Baz wants to be a pirate king!

None of that even takes into account the risky nature of establishing diplomatic relations or Bernice's burgeoning business empire, let alone the Marshalls and Crush's direct approach to solving problems.

In short, the story will be a little different going forward. The threats are no longer an overwhelming enemy or horrors lurking in the undergrowth. Now, it's a matter of politics, intrigue, and social change. Rest assured, the action will still be there, but the question is no longer if they will survive but what they will become.

I hope you will enjoy the new directions this takes things and join Nellie and the Imperium for many, many more books to come.

Book Five will start on Monday, November 11th. I hope to see you all there!

Also, for anyone awaiting The Rifleman Book Two, I hope to have news soon. I can't say anything just yet, but I hope to have news about both Book One and Two.
