Manga - My style vs Another (Patreon)

Here is an example of a character in manga; how I normally draw on the left, and the right is traced over a neat sketch sent to me by 4fireking, who is a manga artist who recently contacted me. He has a very nice style that I envy and hope to learn from, I wonder why my characters always look like children? xD
