Discord tightening, changes (Patreon)

Hey guys!

The Discord Trust and Safety team wants to protect underage users. Therefore, they introduced the NSFW label. Our wildeer camp server also received this tag. For this reason, minors cannot see the marked content / servers. I think that's a good thing.

NSFW server basics
- Servers focused on NSFW themes, or where the majority of content is 18+, must be designated as NSFW.  
- Users age 13–17 will be blocked from joining NSFW servers.
- If a server is changed to NSFW, its content will be hidden from any current members age 13–17.

And the absolute nonsense is that anyone using an iOS cell phone won’t see NSFW servers in Discord. This is a huge bullshit! The desktop application and Discord running in the browser will work.

For iOS devices
- New members age 18+ will be required to opt in on desktop before they can join or access the server on iOS.
- Additionally, a small subset of NSFW servers focused on explicit p0rn content will be blocked for non-mod members on iOS devices, per App Store guidelines. Sorry about that. Mods age 18+ will still be able to moderate from their iOS devices.

I’m going to do a little research next week. How many people are affected here.

Other changes on the wildeer camp server:

• Importantly, the server's beta status is over. From now on, anyone can join using the invitation link. https://discord.gg/cqdmGdm You don't have to be supportive. And you can ask for Guest rank for yourself. This way he can also comment on the conversations, send a link, a picture, etc. Of course, you will not have access to supporter content this way.
• Because of this, I will be recruiting additional moderators (Judges).
• And we introduced a new rank that TimothyDG got first. This rank is Chief Judge (Administrator). You can also request the ranks of "Guest" and "Artist in the camp" from him. Attach a reference to the latter.
• The chat colors have also changed.
• I created a new channel for system messages. #smoke-signal If you are bothered by the comments you can turn it off.

Anyone who does not automatically receive supporter status from BOTs will try to disconnect and then re-add their Discord account to Patreon / Subscribestar. https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/212052266-Get-my-Discord-role Unfortunately, we are unable to manually grant you supporter rank. But you could apply for Guest rank until the error went away.
