Hi Everyone! Here's all the info you'll need for this month's priority commission opening! Please note that there's no guarantee I'll accept your commissions, but you will be at the front of the line and have a day or two to get your commission ideas in before I open publicly! (i.e. ideally I'll fill my queue with you guys first, but if I'm unable to I'll open publicly in a couple days)

NEW STUFF FOR 2020 YOU SHOULD KNOW:

Monthly Specials! Please see the “Pricing” section below. Each month I will pick a theme, character, or idea and offer it as a discount! That may be a commission type, a commission with a certain character, a commission theme or trope, etc.

WANT A COMMISSION? HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:

  • Read this post, then ask me any questions you may have in the comments!
  • If you'd like a commission, fill out a form. Link is below!
  • IF YOU HAVE A PREVIOUS FORM IN skip filling out a form and just shoot me a patreon message as described in the next step!
  • After your form is filled out, MESSAGE ME VIA PATREON and tell me what e-mail address you put down (either contact or paypal is fine - just something so that I am both notified of the commission form, and so that I can connect it to a paid user on this end!)
  • Note: the "message" feature is located on my "Overview" page (the main page for my patreon) under the "... More" button located by my current patron count. Should appear top right for you. You can also open your messages tab and send one to "kihu"

Commission form: https://www.kihu.club/prioritycommissions

  • You must request an approval step before payment, or I will just send the completed piece when it is done, and you will not have the opportunity to review/edit it!
  • That’s right! That means you FOREGO the opportunity to request changes if you do not request a review after the sketch phase before paying me! Please make sure you’re aware of this!!
  • Idea Boosters + My faves, OK & Not OK content list: https://www.f-list.net/c/kihu%20commissions
  • Payment is 100% up-front via paypal. These pieces may be streamed, attendance is not required. Edits/review will be made available after the sketch is done (one approval step) before completion if requested before payment.

Pricing:

MONTHLY SPECIAL FOR FEBRUARY:

  • Watercolor Sketches - $150 per character
  • This is an oft-requested commission type so I've decided to make it available to patrons this month!
  • Quality Example: https://twitter.com/KihuBlue/status/1233909795930824704
  • As always extra-complicated charcters will cost extra. I will quote you the same way I do with other pieces!
  • Due to the nature of these commissions and the coloring process, backgrounds are not available.

FLAT COLOR COMMISSIONS:

  • $225 per character, up to 4 characters. Upcharges for detailed characters, outfits, alts, etc may apply.
  • $180 per character: My characters are available for use at 20% off ($144 each). You can also use that discount price to commission me for custom requests of my own characters and I may provide a further discount (if no other character is included) as I may keep it patreon-exclusive for a month & make prints available later.
  • +$50 for basic backgrounds, $75+ for hand painted (content dependent). Plain background or “color splashes” are free.

SKETCH COMMISSIONS:

  • $80 per character, up to 4 characters. Upcharges for detailed characters, outfits, alts, etc may apply.
  • $60 per character: My characters are available for use at 25% off ($60 each).
  • $40 per character: If commissioning me for pics of JUST my characters, I'll provide this further discount (if no other character is included) as I may keep it patreon-exclusive for a month. You can use this to basically guarantee a sketch request for this patreon!

Looking forward to seeing what ideas you guys have! Thanks for being a part of my Alpha and Grandmaster tiers!  - Kihu

I, for one, am about ready to take the plunge I reckon. The only thing I've been wondering about really is if screenshots from SL are an acceptable reference material. I don't really have any other visual reference material at the moment for SL has really been my main conduit into the furryverse, but I like to think I can supplement it with a good written description :3

Hi! I usually do not allow secondlife references for commissions, but I am happy to check yours as a case-by-case basis. They are usually difficult to 'read' and hard to translate from 3D to 2D. A written description (provided it follows the requirements written on the form linked in this post) is an OK substitute, but if there's a LOT going on with the character and working from description is difficult, I may need to upcharge a bit to discuss your character in further detail with you (charge b/c with most clients I don't have to take that extra time to do so)

Thanks for the clarification. I'm confident that I can provide everything you need with what I have as supplementals but figured it was best to ask first before just sending in a form. It will be my first time commissioning anybody and I certainly don't want to be "that guy".
