Chapter 49 – Outcome and Remuneration

The steady beep of a heart monitor filled the hospital room where a single patient rested.

“Izuku…” Inko was doing her best to stifle her tears with tissues as she watched her son sleep.

Hisashi held his wife close to comfort her as best as he could. “He’ll be alright, Inko. The doctors even said that he wasn’t injured, just exhausted.” It wasn’t much comfort when their son was still sent to the hospital; but it was good to know that he hadn’t been injured.

Izuku continued to sleep, slowly recovering the energy that he’d lost after being forcefully dragged onto the front lines of the battle with the League of Villains and their mysterious mastermind.

-U.A. Conference Room-

Nezu sat at the head of the long table with a small stack of papers in front of him. At the table, and standing around the room, were all of the Pro Heroes that had taken part in the three-pronged raid on the League of Villains. “Thanks to all of you a grave threat has been stopped before it could cause more harm. As a Pro Hero, an educator, and a citizen of Japan, you all have my utmost thanks for being part of this Team Up operation.”

There were various nods and murmurs from the gathered Heroes in acceptance of Nezu’s thanks.

“With the capture and arrest of the remaining League of Villains members, the capture and arrest of Garaki, and the disposal of the remaining Nomu that is currently in progress, this Team Up was a success…even with less than optimal situations taking place during the operation.” Nezu said to the room full of Heroes.

“What happened with the mastermind?” Endeavor asked, the Number Two Pro Hero sitting close to the head of the table.

Nezu took a breath before slowly exhaling. “The mastermind died in the battle. All Might struck the final blow and the villain’s death was witnessed by both Eraserhead and Gran Torino.”

Aizawa and Gran Torino both nodded in confirmation that All for One was no more.

“How’re Nejire-chan and Synthesis?” Mandalay asked Nezu, clearly wanting to know the state of the two youngest that had fought on the frontlines.

“On that I can report that both of the young Heroes are fine.” Nezu brightened up a bit. “Miss Hadō had several bruises, some muscle strains, and a couple of bruised ribs, on top of a severe case of exhaustion; but she’ll make a full recovery in a short time.” Seeing the room of Heroes smiling or letting out relieved sighs brought a small smile to Nezu’s face. He felt the same way, after all. “As for Synthesis, he wasn’t physically injured, so there’s no worry on that front. However, his drop in energy was a bit worse than Miss Hadō’s. He should awaken in a day or two though, according to the doctors.”

Mandalay let out a sigh of relief before a smile crossed her face. “Thank goodness for that.”

“Can I ask what happened to Garaki’s research on the Nomu?” Trafalgar Law asked with his hand partially raised. “That…man’s…” It almost seemed like referring to Garaki as a human caused Law pain. “Research is an affront and insult to Medical Science. It should be destroyed completely, lest someone else decide to replicate it in the future.”

Nezu nodded in agreement as all eyes turned towards him. “As the lead investigative Hero, I’ve personally collected all of the data from Garaki’s lab, his backup servers, and even his personal computers, and then wiped the originals clean before destroying their hard drives. The relevant information will be reported on, while the majority of it will be completely destroyed. The Japanese Government, including the HPSC, have agreed that such information needs to be destroyed completely.”

Law nodded once to Nezu, satisfied by the hyper-intelligent animal’s answer.

“Are we sure that we’ve gotten every member, conspirator, and supporter of the League of Villains in custody?” Edgeshot questioned next. The Ninja Hero knew that villainous organizations could sprout up again from just a few missed conspirators if given enough time.

“Our investigation turned up a criminal dealer, one of the underworld brokers as they’re known, under the alias of ‘Giran’; however, his real name is Okuta Kagerō and the police arrested him at a bar in Shinjuku last night.” Nezu shuffled through some of his papers. “The only other member…if you can call them that…of the League is a ‘successful experiment’, according to Garaki’s notes, by the codename of ‘Gigantomachia’. After familiarizing myself with Garaki’s archive of notes, this person has seven different Quirks and was the one that the Nomu were modeled after.”

“Seven Quirks?!” Kamui Woods exclaimed. “Shouldn’t we capture this Gigantomachia immediately then?”

Nezu nodded to the rising star among the newest Pro Heroes. “Indeed, we shall. I’ve already gone over his seven Quirks and am preparing to put together a team to capture, transport, and detain the Villain without having to fight at all.”

Zone raised his hand to get Nezu’s attention. “I’m still officially on this Team Up for another five days. I’ll lend a hand if you need me to.”

“That would be much appreciated, Zone.” Nezu smiled at the American Hero. Several people would swear they heard the gears turning in Nezu’s head as he altered his plans to include Zone into them. “With that said, I hope that the others I invite in the very near future will also join this smaller Team Up to secure the last remnant of the League of Villains.”

He got a round of nods or words of acceptance from the gathered Heroes.

-Later ~ Nezu’s Office-

“That meeting ran longer than I thought it would.” Toshinori said as he sat on one of the two small black couches in the room. He still had some bandages on his body and his right arm was wrapped up and in a sling to let it finish healing after the battle with All for One.

Aizawa and Kan sat on the opposite couch facing Toshinori, while Nezu sat at his desk.

“The embers of One for All that were within me are gone now.” Toshinori said as he looked at his right hand. “I’m not going to be able to put off retirement anymore. I gave everything I had left in the Kamino fight.”

“Your sacrifice saved countless lives. The people of Japan, the other Pro Heroes, and even I, as the principal, cannot thank you enough.” Nezu nodded to Toshinori thankfully. “With the news cameras revealing your true state to the world, there’s been quite the uproar in the media, even internationally. Some believe that in your current state your tenure here at U.A. should be reconsidered.”

Toshinori looked down at his lap. He could understand why there would be speculation about him continuing to teach after the world had seen his weakened body for the first time.

“They’re all just uneasy.” Nezu assured Toshinori, letting him know that he would remain a teacher at U.A. without directly saying it. “This is exactly why we must come together and get stronger. We need to hold onto the public’s trust in Heroes that you worked so hard to build.”

Kan looked at Toshinori for a moment before speaking. “The whole incident should be enough to make everyone realize that we’ve been placing the entire burden upon you all this time…and just how heavy of a task that was.”

Aizawa agreed with a single nod. “One person alone supporting the belief in Heroes was never going to be possible forever. The Symbol of Peace helped stabilize the tumultuous times and usher in years of peace; everyone is grateful for that. But after seeing what it’s done to you, no one can say that you haven’t done enough, All Might.”

“Thank you both.” Toshinori gave his fellow teachers a smile. After forty years and pulling Japan out of chaos and into a stable period where crime rates were down and people were safer and happier than when he was growing up…he’d done a lot. “I’d like to pass on what I know to the next generation of Heroes, right here at U.A., along with all of you.”

“To that end, there are still threats out there. We need to make sure that our students are in a safe and stable environment.” Nezu smiled at Toshinori’s willingness to remain a teacher. “We’ll be implementing a plan that I’ve been ruminating on for quite some time.” He held up a paper from his desk so that the three men could read it.

Concerning the Impending U.A. Dormitory System

“Vlad and I we’ll be handling Class B.” Nezu nodded to Kan. “All Might and Eraserhead will handle Class A.” He looked at the other two men. “Good luck with the home visits.” He smiled a little, knowing that convincing the parents to switch from a day school to a boarding school might very well be the most difficult task that they’d face as educators.

-Izuku’s Hospital Room ~ Next Day-

“Izuku…!” Inko was hugging the life out of her son from the moment that he woke up.

“I’m alright, Mom…just a little tired.” Izuku smiled, letting his mother hug him as much as she could. He knew that both of his parents must’ve been worried sick the moment they’d gotten the call from Nezu explaining what had happened.

Hisashi gently pulled Inko from Izuku and wrapped one arm around her as she dried her eyes with some tissues. “We panicked a bit when we got the call from the principal. But we’re both glad that you were okay, Izuku.” He smiled at his son proudly. “Not even graduated and already an amazing Hero.”

Izuku closed his eyes and smiled, his cheeks turning a bit red at the sincere praise from his father. “Dad…come on. I just did what I had to so that I could help the Heroes.”

There was a knock on the door of the room and all three of the Midoriya Family turned to look at it. A few seconds later and the door opened to reveal the smiling face of Hadō Nejire.

“Izu!” Nejire beamed at seeing Izuku awake again. “You’re up!”

Izuku blinked at his senpai, wondering how she already had so much energy, before he greeted her. “Hadō-senpai, I’m glad that you’re okay.”

“Thanks to you!” Nejire nearly floated across the floor to get to Izuku’s bedside. “You jumped in out of nowhere and stopped that big attack from hitting me! Thank you!” Then she surprised Izuku, Inko, and Hisashi when she leaned forward and placed a kiss on Izuku’s cheek.

“I…I…y-you’re welcome, H-Hadō-senpai.” Izuku faltered and stumbled over his words. “I have girlfriends though…”

Nejire just smiled at him. “Me too! Well, just one…Yuyu-chan! But she knows that I was going to thank you for saving me, so it’s fine!” Her bubbly and energetic personality was almost infectious and Izuku found himself smiling. “Oh! But you should definitely make sure that your girlfriends know about it! Communication is super important in relationships, you know? No one wants to date a liar, right?”

“R-Right.” Izuku couldn’t argue with that. He wasn’t planning to hide anything from his girlfriends. ‘Except surprise dates…and birthdays presents.’ He added in the only acceptable secrets to keep from any of his girlfriends in his head.

“Nejire…” Haya Yuyu said from the doorway with a fond little sigh and a smile. “You need to be a little quieter…this is a hospital.”

Nejire moved over to Yuyu and pulled her into a warm hug. “Okay!” She smiled beautifully. “I was just thanking Izuku for saving me against that All for One villain.”

Yuyu looked over at Izuku and gave him a grateful smile. “Thank you so much for that, Midoriya.” She managed to bow to Izuku properly once Nejire released her hug. “I don’t know what I would do without my Nejire-chan.” She pulled Nejire into a one-armed hug. “The cutest thing in the galaxy is my one and only.”

“Aww, Yuyu-chan!” Nejire beamed at her girlfriend.

“It was what any Hero would’ve done.” Izuku smiled at Yuyu and Nejire. “I’m just happy that I was able to help.”

After another quick round of thanks, both Nejire and Yuyu left Izuku’s room. Apparently Nejire was already being discharged and her parents were taking care of the last of the paperwork.

“So…when are we going to meet your girlfriends, Izuku?” Hisashi asked with a fatherly grin.

Izuku looked off to the side for a moment. “Well, I…we…soon?”

Inko was somewhere between elated and anxious. “Should we have four separate meetings…or one large one? We’d need to meet their parents as well…if you five are serious about this.” While laws had certainly changed since the advent of Quirks and the ‘Dark Ages’ that followed, multi-partner relationships still weren’t the most common of things.

“Mom, we have plenty of time, there’s no rush.” Izuku assured her that he and his girlfriends weren’t rushing into anything. “I’ve already met Tsu-chan’s parents and gotten their approval. I met Momo-chan’s mother too…but I haven’t met her father yet. Ochako’s parents live in Mie Prefecture, so we haven’t had time to have a formal meeting. And Camie-chan has put off meeting her parents so far until we’re both ready.”

“You aren’t sexually active yet, are you?” Inko asked and Izuku’s head nearly exploded as it went atomic red.

“MOM!!!” Izuku blurted out.

Hisashi stepped in while barely suppressing a chuckle. “Now, now, honey. Our Izuku is more responsible than that.” He hugged Inko close and placed a gentle kiss on her cheek. “Besides, it’s normal for teenagers to think about that kind of stuff.” Inko blushed at her husband’s tone. “We certainly got up to things at that age.”

“Hisashi!” Inko’s face was just as red as Izuku’s now. She buried her face into her husband’s chest to hide from Izuku’s wide eyes.

“Can we talk about something else? Anything else.” Izuku nearly begged, not wanting to know ANYTHING about his parent’s love life.

-Afternoon-

A knock on the hospital door interrupted Izuku and his parents as they were preparing to leave. Izuku had been given a clean bill of health, but the doctor had told him to take it easy for a few more days and rest plenty. When the door opened, the family was greeted by Nezu and Aizawa.

“Mr. Midoriya, Mrs. Midoriya, young Midoriya.” Nezu greeted each of them with a proper bow.

Aizawa bowed as well before the two teachers entered the room fully and closed the door behind them.

“What can we do for you, principal?” Hisashi had a firm gaze locked onto Nezu, not having forgiven the hyper intelligent animal for Izuku ending up on the frontlines and breaking the promise that Nezu had made to the parents.

Nezu fully understood Hisashi’s displeasure with him right now. “I’ve come to apologize again for letting Izuku get pulled onto the frontlines.” He bowed deeply this time and held it for a few seconds to show his sincerity. “As I told you both in my initial phone call, I, personally, want to make amends for my failure to fulfill my promise to you both.”

“But it wasn’t your fault, sir.” Izuku spoke up, not wanting his parents to be angry at Nezu for something outside of the principal’s control. “We had no way of knowing that the villain mastermind could reverse the effect of Warp Gate like he did.”

“Be that as it may, young Midoriya, I still failed to keep my promise to your parents.” Nezu said, fully accepting responsibility for what had happened. “In light of that, I’d like to make a few offers to your family in remuneration for the danger that you were placed in.”

Inko looked between Hisashi and Izuku, before turning to look at Nezu again. “What remunerations?”

Aizawa stepped forward first. “Firstly, I feel like I should take some responsibility as Midoriya’s teacher. After seeing the effectiveness of my Erasure on the villain mastermind, it was obvious that had I made this decision earlier then the battle would’ve been over without as much damage and injury.” He held out his hand to Izuku, his eyes looking straight into Izuku’s with clear intention.

Izuku took Aizawa’s hand and shook it once before pulling back. “Thank you, sensei.” Already Collector was analyzing the Quirk Factor of Aizawa’s Quirk and preparing to replicate it, thereby adding it to Izuku’s collection.

“I’ll be taking you under some extra lessons during Foundational Heroics Class to help you get used to my Quirk.” Aizawa told Izuku with a flat and no nonsense tone.

“Why didn’t you offer it to Izuku sooner?” Hisashi had to ask, since he’d heard about Aizawa’s Quirk from Izuku shortly after his son’s first day at U.A, along with most of the Quirks of his various classmates. “It could’ve come in handy many times now.”

Aizawa understood Hisashi’s question and explained it simply. “Midoriya didn’t need my Quirk when he first enrolled at U.A. and as he never approached me about it, I didn’t bring it up. However, after the USJ, he was taken to the hospital directly after, as was I. But he’d acquired new Quirks and was very clear that for every new Quirk that he acquires, he has to go through a great deal of trial and error to figure them out and make use of them. Adding onto a student’s burden is illogical when they’re already stretching themselves thin.” Aizawa turned his eyes on Izuku for a moment. “Midoriya already has lessons with Recovery Girl on top of his normal classes. He also continues to acquire new Quirks which he needs time to train outside of classes. The most logical thing was to wait until he’d mastered his current Quirks and then offer him my own. However, as you well know, this school year has been anything but normal and the time for any of the Class 1-A students to add to their workload has been slim.”

It was a reasonable explanation for both parents, but there would always be a feeling of ‘why not’ or ‘you should have’ in the back of their minds. That was just the natural concern of parents for their child, and Aizawa’s Quirk would most definitely have kept Izuku safer after everything that he’d gone through since enrolling into U.A.’s Hero Course.

“It seems fairly simple so far.” Izuku was already ‘examining’ Erasure as his green eyes turned red for a moment. Collector made analysis even easier for Izuku (who was already quite analytic naturally) and simpler Quirks were quickly understood.

“As for the remuneration for your family, I have several offers for you.” Nezu pulled out a multiple papers from his briefcase to show Hisashi and Inko. Among the various proposals was everything from financial compensation to direct meetings with top Support Gear companies for upgrading Izuku’s Hero costume with all of the state-of-the-art materials at no cost, and many other offers that pertained to the family’s overall quality of life and any support that Nezu could personally give to them.

The Midoriya family would check out of the hospital and move the meeting to their home before anything was decided on.

But they were still practically blindsided when Aizawa brought up the implementation of a dormitory system for U.A. to further protect the students going forward.

-U.A. ~ Class 1-A ~ Monday Morning-

“Izukun!” Camie nearly glomped her boyfriend the second that she saw him enter the classroom. Not giving a damn about anyone seeing, she kissed Izuku for a long moment before pulling back. “Are you alright?!” Sure, they’d been talking and texting over the phone since Izuku had woken up in the hospital, but it wasn’t the same as being able to see and check for herself.

“I’m great.” Izuku had a smile on his face after the kiss.

Camie let out a relieved breath and hugged him tighter. “Good. I’m so glad.”

“Izukun…” Tsuyu said, standing right next to the hugging pair.

Ochako was on the opposite side with a worried look on her face. “Are you okay?”

Momo wasn’t any better as she came up behind him and began looking him over. “Do you need anything? Food? Water? A better chair?” Her hands glowed with the rainbow light of her Quirk, ready to make anything that Izuku needed or wanted.

“I have everything I need right here.” Izuku said, as he shrugged off his uniform jacket and sprouted more arms from his back with Six Arms to quickly pull all four of his girlfriends into the warmest hugs that he could give them.

None of the other students said a word, just letting the four have their moment together.

Only after Izuku let the girls go did the other students start to talk again.

Izuku slipped his uniform jacket back on and tried to tie his red tie, only for it to look as ‘off’ as it always did when he tied it.

Momo smiled warmly and untied Izuku’s tie before doing it up properly for him. “There you go, Izukun.”

“Thanks, Momo.” Izuku smiled and pecked her cheek, making Momo beam at him with pink cheeks.

“Are you done with your lovey-dovey crap yet?” Bakugo scoffed as he looked off to the side.

Mina took this time to smirk at Bakugo. “Do I sense jealously, Bakugo?”

“Oooh~” Toru quickly got in on the teasing.

“Hell no!” Bakugo shot back with a growl.

Kyoka shook her head at the instant hostility. “I think they’re cute.”

“Right?!” Mina’s eyes were practically sparkling.

“Midoriya’s a cinnamon roll.” Chikuchi snickered a little. “Of course he’s popular with girls. Unlike a certain hotheaded, loudmouth, annoying…”

Bakugo’s hands crackled with tiny explosions. “You got something to say, water girl?!”

“Such vitriol is unbecoming of future Heroes!” Iida quickly stepped in to mediate before the situation could escalate.

“Shut up, four-eyes!” Bakugo snapped back.

Izuku barely had time to even greet his friends before the bell rang and Aizawa opened the door.

Every student was in their seats before their homeroom teacher stepped foot into the classroom.

Aizawa’s gaze panned over the room as he walked to the podium at the front of the class. “Let’s start with what I know you’re all wondering about.” He looked like he didn’t really want to go over it, but Nezu had made it clear that the teachers were to answer the Hero Course student’s questions (within reason) about the Kamino Incident, as it was being called across all forms of media. “The Kamino Incident…”

“Was the League of Villains really defeated?!”

“We don’t have to worry about them coming after us anymore, right?!”

“Did the mastermind really destroy that section of Kamino all by themselves?!”

Aizawa’s eyes flashed red and all of the students quickly fell silent. “Raise your hand if you want to be called on to ask a question.” The glow faded away and nearly every hand shot into the air. “Hah…” The heavy sigh from Aizawa just further showed that he didn’t want to go over this.

-Hospital ~ After School-

Izuku knocked on a specific door with a doctor and three nurses standing with him.

“Come in.” A female voice called out.

The door was opened and Izuku saw the Rabbit Hero, Mirko, sitting up in her hospital bed, her right leg propped up to keep weight off of it and her left arm held in a specialized apparatus to prevent it from moving at all.

“How are you today, Miss Usagiyama?” The doctor asked as he approached the Pro Hero with the three nurses.

Mirko shrugged with her good arm. “Still alive, so can’t complain too much. Kind of annoyed that I’m still here and not out there beating more Villains.”

The doctor nodded, having heard that since Mirko had been admitted. “I understand, Miss Usagiyama, but you should be thankful that you are here. Had Recovery Girl not been on site at Jaku Hospital, you would have lost your arm and leg for sure.”

“I made sure to thank her.” Mirko said with a with a brief roll of her eyes. “Hey… You’re that Synthesis kid, aren’t you?” She grinned at Izuku.

“Yes, Miss Mirko.” Izuku smiled back at the Number Five Pro Hero in Japan. ‘Maybe I can get her autograph after this?’ He did have his Quirk Analysis notebook with her entry in it with him, just in case!

The doctor and nurses checked over Mirko and made sure that she was comfortable and that everything was as it should be with her current condition.

“Mister Midoriya is here to finish your treatment at Recovery Girl’s recommendation, Miss Usagiyama.” The doctor explained to his patient. “If you consent to the use of his Quirk on you under our supervision, then we’re hopeful that you’ll regain full use of your damaged limbs.”

“Where’s the paper?” Mirko wasted no time and had zero hesitation.

Izuku was rather amazed that Mirko hadn’t even blinked at him being the one to treat her. He knew that he wouldn’t even be here right now without Recovery Girl’s recommendation. But the older woman had been run ragged over the last couple of days and was currently resting at home. As one of the only Pro Heroes with a Healing Quirk, her services were often requested, and with her advanced age…well, she couldn’t run about healing everyone like she used to.

Once the paperwork was signed, the doctor and the three nurses stayed at Mirko’s bedside while Izuku gently placed his hands on Mirko’s injured right leg.

Healing Aura, Amplification, Enhance Function, Efficiency, Mental Boost.’ Izuku quickly compiled the Quirks that he needed and his hands glowed with a soft green light that spread over Mirko’s leg and foot. Izuku could practically ‘see’ through his amplified Quirk, and started taking note of all the damage that still remained. ‘Micro tears in her nerves throughout the foot. There’s small lacerations in her muscles. Her cartilage around her joints is also damaged. The tiny fragments of bone stuck in her muscles needs to be fixed first.

Izuku used his amplified Healing Aura to slowly and carefully move the bone fragments back to their proper locations and heal the microfractures that Recovery Girl’s Quirk hadn’t been able to heal. Relying on the target’s stamina to facilitate the healing meant that their were limits, especially when Mirko was severely injured right after a brutal battle with multiple powerful Nomu. Izuku had no idea how long he worked just on Mirko’s leg. The bone fragments were back to their rightful places along the previously damaged bones, so Izuku then moved on to the damaged nerves, guiding them to heal fully under the soft green light of his Quirk. The cartilage was easier than the bone fragments and nerve damage, and the muscle tears were even easier still.

“Hah…” Izuku let out a breath as he finished the healing of Mirko’s leg. He looked at the clock and got a drink of water as the doctor and nurses looked over Mirko’s leg with medical equipment and their own Quirks.

“Astounding.” The doctor praised Izuku’s healing. “I see why Recovery Girl recommended you so highly, Mister Midoriya.”

“Thank you, sir.” Izuku gave the doctor a short bow before moving to Mirko’s arm. “This might take a bit longer, Miss Mirko.” He gave her his best reassuring smile.

Mirko smirked at Izuku. “Take your time, kid. I need to be in top shape to beat down villains.”

Izuku looked into the damage to Mirko’s left arm and nearly grimaced, even with his eyes closed. ‘Recovery Girl said that it had been twisted around like a towel…but I didn’t understand just how bad it was until now.’ He thought as he saw all of the tears in the muscles, the nerve damage, the bone damage, and the damaged joints. ‘Before Recovery Girl used her Quirk…the skin would’ve been torn and all of the blood vessels would’ve been ruptured…they wouldn’t have had any choice but to amputate to keep her from bleeding out.’ That was just how serious the injury from the unknown Spatial Distortion Quirk was.

As Izuku set to work under the watchful eyes of the doctor and nurses, Mirko just laid back and lightly wiggled her toes on her previous injured leg and foot. She couldn’t help the small smile on her lips at being able to do that again.

That fragment goes there…’ Izuku moved another tiny shard of bone back into place and healed the microfracture. He’d completely lost track of time now, but he was almost done with the bone fragments in Mirko’s arm. ‘And this one…comes out of the joint…and goes back into the lunate bone. He finally finished Mirko’s hand and wrist, the bone fragments throughout her arm all back in their original places and healed.

The treatment wasn’t over though and Izuku kept himself focused on the task at hand, just as Recovery Girl had taught him. He slowly and carefully began to heal the damaged nerves in Mirko’s arm, starting at the tips of her fingers and working his way up. Everything had been so twisted up that the sensitive nerves of the palm and fingers would’ve been a maddening pain if Mirko wasn’t medicated properly. Izuku didn’t even want to imagine an injury like this happening to anyone else. The nerves in the hand were finished san unknown amount of time later, so Izuku moved up Mirko’s arm at the same slow and steady pace.

“This may hurt.” Izuku warned Mirko, his eyes still closed as he focused on healing her nerves near her shoulder.

“I’ve had worse.” Mirko said with confidence.

Izuku healed the severed parts of the nerves near the shoulder, fully reconnecting Mirko’s left arm to the rest of her nervous system.

“Hssst!” Mirko let out a sharp hiss as she inhaled, the dull sensation that she’d been getting before (a mix of the severe nerve damage and the painkillers that she was on) now fully felt as all of her nerves let her know of the still damaged muscles and cartilage in her left arm.

Izuku soothed that pain quickly with Healing Aura and Mirko let out an appreciative sigh of relief.

Once Mirko was alright, Izuku worked on the damaged cartilage in her shoulder joint. Moving down he focused on the elbow, taking care to make sure that everything was restored exactly. As he worked on the wrist cartilage, Izuku couldn’t help but be amazed at how much healing Recovery Girl had managed with Mirko is the bad state she’d been in at Jaku Hospital. He hadn’t needed to fix any of the tendons and ligaments in either Mirko’s leg, foot, arm, or wrist. Those crucial structures had most likely been prioritized by his teacher onsite.

Just a little more…’ Izuku thought as he began to heal the various tears in the muscles of the arm. Most were small, a benefit of Recovery Girls quick initial treatment, but Izuku paid close attention as he healed each and every one of them. It wouldn’t do to miss one, or worse, make it heal incorrectly.

“Are you finished, Mister Midoriya?” The doctor asked as the soft green light of Izuku’s Quirk faded away and he pulled his hands away from Mirko’s left arm.

Izuku smiled at the doctor while opening his eyes. “Yes. Please check Miss Mirko over just to be absolutely sure, sir.”

The doctor and nurses did just that, going over every millimeter of Mirko’s arm from shoulder to fingertips for the next several minutes while Izuku took a break and checked his phone. He had enough time to text Camie, Momo, Ochako, and Tsuyu about what he was doing and let his parents know that he was almost done and would be home right after.

“Incredible. Absolutely incredible, young man.” The doctor praised Izuku’s thorough and complete healing of his patient. “After a night of observation and a couple of tests tomorrow morning, we should be able to discharge Miss Usagiyama.”

“About time.” Mirko snarked from the hospital bed.

“There’s still something that needs to be healed, sir.” Izuku said with some confusion.

The doctor blinked and looked at Mirko, his eyes eventually focusing on her damaged rabbit ear. “We can try reconstructive surgery…but you can’t heal what isn’t there, Mister Midoriya.”

Izuku smiled softly as he approached Mirko. “May I, Miss Mirko?” He asked and pointed at her damaged right ear.

“Careful, my ears are sensitive.” Mirko smirked at the teen.

Izuku somehow managed not to blush to the roots of his hair from that and gently held her damaged ear between both of his hands as they glowed with the soft green light of Healing Aura. But the doctor and nurses quickly noticed that Izuku was sweating profusely.

Return.’ Izuku added the powerful, if very limited, Quirk to the compiled set as he felt his body heat up while it broke down some of his body fat for material. Through the amplified Quirks, Izuku ‘watched’ as the material moved into his palms and then into Mirko’s damaged bunny ear. The genetically blank raw material quickly transformed into stem cells bearing Rumi’s DNA and filled in the missing structure of her long ear as they changed into elastic cartilage cells and skin cells. ‘There we go…’ Izuku finished healing the missing part and deactivated his compiled Quirks.

“Whoa…” One of the nurses said in awe as Rumi’s previously damaged rabbit ear was fully healed. It was bare skin at the moment, since Izuku’s Quirk couldn’t make hair grow, but the missing part of the Rabbit Hero’s ear was back like it had never been torn off.

“All done.” Izuku smiled as he wiped the sweat off his forehead. “How do you feel, Miss Mirko?”

Mirko gently touched her restored ear with her right hand in surprise. “I’m perfect.” She looked at Izuku with a grin. “The fur will grow back, right?”

Izuku nodded once. “It should grow back normally.”

“Then I have no complaints.” Mirko laughed slightly; not like she would’ve actually cared if her right rabbit ear remained ‘bald’…it was whole at least.

Izuku fidgeted for a second before pulling out his Quirk Analysis notebook and flipping to the page with Mirko’s entry. “May I have your autograph, Miss Mirko?”

Mirko blinked at the notebook, especially the decent sketch of her and all of the accurate information about her Quirk and physical capabilities. “Wow…you’re some kind of Hero Nerd, huh?”

Izuku blushed brightly. “I…I’ve been called that.”

“Hah!” Mirko laughed and took the pen from Izuku with her right hand. “You’re lucky my good arm wasn’t the one that was injured.” She signed the notebook just above the sketch of her before handing the pen back.

“Thank you very much!” Izuku bowed at a perfect ninety degree angle. He carefully closed the notebook and gently placed it into his backpack.

“Thank you for the healing.” Mirko waved off the autograph. It was the least that she could do as she wiggled her toes and flexed the fingers of her left hand for the first time in days. “If you were a little older then I could’ve thanked you in a much better way~” She looked at Izuku almost hungrily, a sexy smirk on her lips.

“I…I have…girlfriends…” Izuku stuttered out, his face hotter now than it had been when he was using Return. Without waiting for a dismissal, he created Warp Gate and vanished through it.

The loud, cheerful laughter of Mirko followed after him before the gate closed.

Izuku fell face first onto his bed and let out a long, pitiful groan. He was going to remember the Number Five Pro Hero, Rabbit Hero Mirko herself, coming onto him for the rest of his life…even if she had been joking.

At the very least, when he told Momo, Ochako, Tsuyu, and Camie about this, he was sure that Camie would get a laugh out of it.

Maybe Camie will be able to convince Momo, Ochako, And Tsuyu to dress up with her and send me a group pic?’ Izuku thought and pictured all of his girlfriends in sexy kunoichi outfits.

He was a young man that had just been hit on by one of the sexiest Pro Heroes (as voted on by more than a dozen magazines and online polls) in the country, sue him for being horny!

Popcorn Rocks

So Izuku and his four girlfriends are going to be living together relatively soon... Oh the shenanigans that they'll be able to get up to.

Avericia94

Thanks for the chapter. Will izuku still be involved with Overhaul case since there is no reason for him to go to Nighteye?

Liz Lambert

So now every fight Izuku is in will be ”no quirk VS every quirk”, not OP at all 😂😂

Kz3838

Thank you for the great chapter, I am eager to see the dorm shenanigans. Stay safe out there and keep up the good work!

Kairomaru

You're welcome! Happy you enjoyed it! The shenanigans should be fun, I think! I'll keep doing my best for all of my Patrons!

Lord Karpicus

I can feel the incoming fluff approach from the horizon… And I wait for it patiently, for fluffy times are great times.

Getting rid of villains like All For One is good, but it will leave a power vacuum. Will we see villains fighting over who will fill that position? It's a shame Izuku isn't older, Miruko is very sexy hahaha Thanks for the chapter

Kairomaru

THings will indeed change now that All for One is dead and gone, yes. Unfortunate, for Izuku, however he does have 4 very lovely girlfriends to 'help him out' with that. Hehehe~ You're welcome, glad you enjoyed the chapter!

Jeremie

I find it stupid that people wouldn't want All Might to still be teaching just because his body is so weak now due to injury (not that they'd know exactly why he looks that way lol). Sure he might not be able to go out and still be a hero but he's got so many years of being a hero that he's got a wealth of knowledge that he could pass along

Awesome chapter this story is one of my favorite stories. In my opinion it's a lot better than the actual my hero academia series it's different and unique and I love all of your stories. They are great and you're one of my favorite authors. Keep up the awesome work. Can't wait for more chapters from this story and from all of your other stories including Magma Dragon King I love that story another one of my favorites great job 👍👏

Kairomaru

Glad you enjoyed the chapter! Thank you for the compliments, they're greatly appreciated! More updates will come soon enough!

Kirito Beater

Just had a funny thought. Could Izuku 'copy' recovery girl's quirk? Healing kisses for his girl's. Lmao. That aside, thanks for another great chapter

Kirito Beater

Ooh another thing, I see much steaminess in store for our favorite verdette with the dorm system. Wonder what remuneration will be chosen. Keep up the great work

Grixis_Dragonlord

This story is Awesome I love that Izuku finally got Erasure and I look forward to seeing you implement the MLA as the next serious threat as I always felt like they were the bigger threat compared to the LoV just due to their size and organization

Kairomaru

You forgot the Yakuza and the Provisional License Exam. We MUST save the precious unicorn child that is Eri! And I'm not planning for students to be involved in taking down a domestic terrorist army in this fic. That's the job of the JDSF, the police force, and the Pro Heroes...not half-trained students.

Grixis_Dragonlord

Fair enough and I didn't forget the Yakuza arc Eri must be saved and protected by that Bastard Overhaul I just don't consider him as much of a threat compared to LoV and MLA. Just someone in the greatest need of a gruesome death. Overhaul to me is the Umbridge of the MHA world not the biggest threat comparatively but easily the MOST HATED
