From trying to wade through the recent "cursed" imagery online to diving into this second set of chapters -- I am starting to understand the feral nature of this fandom and it's hard to resist joining in the chaos!

Especially when MXTX has such insane set up with some of the concepts of Chapters 5 and 6 -- apologies for the abrupt end, to this set but as you can see, there's still PLENTY to talk about with these chapters, and next week I'll be starting 3 chapter sets, so even MORE to talk about! Huzzah!!

Hello Romania! Loved the reaction and sorry you had to see those cursed memes. If you want a definition for the trope "golden finger" I will put one further down in the comment. The main character for some reason has a cheat. Be it an item, a skill or a unique ability, that sets them apart from the plebs and allows them to quickly surpass their peers

Huzzah! Another scum villain video! I’m really enjoying watching you read this novel. The bit about Shen Yuan lying down and pretending to be dead always made me laugh too 😁 Bits like that also make me feel better about the age gap. I don’t think it’s ever explicitly stated how old SY is, but bits like that gave me the impression that he’s still a young adult rather than an older adult. I also enjoy the kind of break from form for SY compared to characters like WWX and XL. SY can be smart, especially when it comes to genre savvy type problems, but he’s no Sherlock. Thanks for the video! Hope you continue to enjoy the series!

I definitely agree that it's cool having a protagonist that is more like the reader than someone that seems super extraordinary or like a fictional character. It adds a big relatability, which is probably why I really like him! I'm excited to see what else the story will give us!

Welcome to the insanity of SVSSS's fandom! 😅 We hold no judgement but those kinds of fanarts do make you pause and just blink in disbelief. For the "avoid landmines that suspend disbelief" when I was reading this my first thought was honestly The Hobbit/The Lord of the Rings and the Eagles. J.R.R. Tolkien did give some explanation for the Eagles not making either journey to the Misty Mountain or to Mordor easier, but there are some readers (and *a lot* of movie watchers) that see the Eagles as being this landmine of a plot point/plot hole on why the Eagles wouldn't just help them more than they already did. The movies especially ask us to suspend some disbelief that the Eagles could only be used at specific times. The long-winded description of how perfectly put together Shen Qingqiu is is truly the height of diva behaviour 🤣 I love it for him. Also this facet of his personality is such a great difference with Mo Xiang Tong Xiu's other protagonists, and really helps set him apart from Xie Lian and Wei Wuxian. The sword choosing the person as much as the person choosing the sword, especially after the Harry Potter comments, immediately makes me think of Ollivander and "The wand chooses the wizard, Mr. Potter!" Golden finger turning you feral too! Very proud of you for that jump between "the golden finger is Luo Binghe's" to "it will be used on Shen Qingqiu for sexual purposes" 😂 The System in SVSSS is so damn sassy 🥰 I always love that [OOC is OOC]. Your reaction to the novel description of the protagonist, Luo Binghe, was everything. Learning Luo Binghe's size was probably not on your bingo card (at least this early) 😆 I definitely agree that SVSSS has more of a raw feeling than the other two for Mo Xiang Tong Xiu's writing style. You can definitely see her playing around with things and seeing what works, but as she progresses as a writer the writing becomes much more polished and she has a more definitive style of writing. It also feels like, to me, that SVSSS is a lot less censored so far in terms of the violence already being depicted (for example the original Shen Qingqiu's limbless fate) but also things like mentions of d*ck sizes 🤭 I would say a good comparison for how shippy the donghua is in comparison to the novel at this point is The Untamed and the shippy moments they injected in (some for WangXian but mostly in regards to the XiYao moments and definitely all the ChenQing moments) in comparison to what's in the source material. You just *had* to bring up the Bichen trauma without actually saying it when talking about the swords in SVSSS 🤣🤣🤣 Danmei naked feels equivalent to Victorian sensibilities of a young lady showing her ankle 🤣

The FERAL FANDOM! I love it! “Blinking in disbelief” is a THING! Oohh, the Landmines and the Eagles! That makes SO much more sense! Okay, thank you for that explanation! And YES, SQQ is SUCH a diva, but I love him so much for it! He’s definitely MUCH different than the other MXTX protagonists. Let’s just hope that Bichen KNEW what they were getting into when they chose Lan Wangji, because otherwise…what a day to show up at the office! ;) Yes, I AM going to bring up Bichen. #neverforget And the Golden Finger - how could I NOT make that assumption?! I definitely think that this story is going to let me be feral alongside the fandom! But yes, that last set of lines “So Sayeth the System!” It’s SO. Darn. Good! And NO, while I wondered if Shen’s descriptions would be used to describe Luo’s…other…”finger,” I did not imagine it THIS early in the text! And yessss, this story is much more “Crass,” in a good way and just MXTX experimenting, which is really fun to see play out in this! The Untamed is a good use for comparison alongside the donghua here! It’s so interesting to me to see how much the donghua crew had their shipper goggles ON! I would say a good comparison for how shippy the donghua is in comparison to the novel at this point is The Untamed and the shippy moments they injected in (some for WangXian but mostly in regards to the XiYao moments and definitely all the ChenQing moments) in comparison to what's in the source material. BUT YES, just like The Untamed - their version of “nudity” and “scandalous” is quite closer to ankle-showing standards! But what can you do? Thank you for the comment and kind words! 😀
