RyuSae literally changed my brain chemistry and I'm so happy you share the sentiment. They are just on another level. They are just that IT couple. Absolute highkey freak x nonchalant lowkey freak. They are a match made in heaven and hell. The fact that Sae makes Ryusei understood for the first time in his life, the fact that Sae is able to share and enhance Ryusei's vision and his sense of freedom, the fact that Ryusei is the happiest he has ever been when he is with Sae, the fact that Sae never rejects Ryusei's advances but instead conditions them, the fact that Ryusei is so unabashedly and unapologetically vocal and expressive in his canonical heavy attraction to Sae... RyuSae's relationship is sexual in nature especially because for Ryusei, soccer is a sexual act in itself, RyuSae is just canon and there is no denying it in any way. They are just so special. I love both of them so much for entirely different reasons and they match eachother perfectly while having really opposite personalities. Also, Ryusei really reminds me of Atsumu from Haikyuu in his constant declaration of love and passion towards the sport he is playing, albeit on a more extreme level. No wonder I like him.

Great reaction and discussion as always!! Man, did this episode do justice to my man Shidou! They really put all the budget in the scenes with him in them, both this episode and the previous one XD He is such a clear fave of the animators too, just like his predecessor with the same VA, Gojo was to mappa XD The funniest thing for me when Shidou was explaing his weapon was like. When the colored penalty area was reflected in his eyes and it looked just like a German flag with all the right colors XD I must i say laughed when I first saw it. I really love the constant reminders of how Shidou way of playing football is so unorthodox and unconventional compared to how normal players play that no one is able to keep up with his though process and decision making. He is even more outside of the norm than what Ego tried to make Blue Lock players into. This is also why the blue lock couldn't be a place that make him evolve and get better. Because no one there could understand the way he played. Everyone he played with in Blue Lock tried to CHANGE his play style (change him) to better fit their own game instead of trying to make use of what he was good at to their own advantage. There was nobody there who could make him challenge himself in a way that was specific to his play style and make him surpass his own limits. And then in comes Sae. Sae who SEES him. Who says "is this the best you can do?". Who challenges him but at the same time, doesn't ask him to change who he is. Doesn't ask him to fit the mold, to become more convectional, to limit himself to what others think is possible and how the game should look like. He looks at him and says "go wild, don't stop, I will help you bring your vision to reality". And as Shidou says in this episode, its like someone finally understood what freedom meant for him, FINALLY understood SHIDOU himself. And the rest is history. Shidou literally has fallen so HARD for Sae SO QUICKLY after he understood that Sae TRULY gets him, its not even funny. He knew this man for 2 weeks and already wants to move in with him. Fastest love story ever XD Also, as I also mentioned on discord, the goal that Shidou scored goal Shidou scored was DIRECTLY based on the real goal that Zlatan Ibrahimović scored in the past! It was also during the same situation, with goalie doing a header and Zlatan being really far away from penalty area too. Its almost a total copy of that shot. And the move he did is called a bicycle kick. I always wonder what other players thought when Shidou scored his goal. Because like. Shidou whole spiel about scoring being fertilization and what not was in his head, not out loud. So what other players saw was Shidou shooting the ball and just. Screaming his throat out with "I'LL KNOCK YOU UP!!!". No context to that whatsoever XD Which i wonder. Is it better or worse to hear that with with context? XDD JUNECKFENVCV I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE WAY YOU SLOWLY DREW A DICK ON WHITEBOARD KUN XDDD I BURST OUT LAUGHING WHEN I REALIZED WHAT YOU WERE DOING XDDD Also about the substitutions! In official matches, since 2020, there are 5 substitutions allowed during the whole game (with it sometimes changing to 6 in finals of competitions, but only if the game goes into extra time). Before 2020 only 3 subs were allowed for the whole game and that is the rule Blue Lock sticks to, with BL taking place in 2018. Ego was really up on his Aizen mode with his "its all according to my plan" bullshit XD I believe that the whole speech Ego did was baiting Isagi into not giving up by trying make it seem like he is making Isagi settle for less than the best. But also, its nice to know that BL boys seem to be managing to exceed his expectations. He must feel so proud! I love how with Barou joining the game we now have a quite unusual jjk VA's reunion XD Its literally Barou (Sukuna) trying to stop and fight the ultimate combo of Sae and Ryusei (Gojo and Geto). I find it so hilarious XD I am also so happy for Aiku! I love him so much he is such an awesome character! He deserves all the good things for himself. I really love how once Ryusei got into the flow state, it created a chain reaction of others ALSO getting into the flow. Its like once even one player hits that higher stage of play during the game everyone else gets draggwd into it as well. The fire of passion and focus on the game starts spreading so fast once the initial spark (the spark being Ryusei this time) goes off. We saw this a few times in the first season too, when someone manages to bring up the level of the game, other players are soon to follow, filled with even more determination and inspiration to win. I really love that in blue lock.

"We stopped playing soccer long ago", what soccer? We didn't even start soccer this season is pure say gex. As a registered #1 Yukimiya fan, I can't say I'm not a bit disappointed, but I guess this is what it is then... That solo run was incredible and was against 4 defenders + 1 goal keeper, and he would've score if Aiku didn't also went to flow. My baby deserves better 😘 It's no longer #teamSae or #teamRin, it's now #teamYuki for me

I am pretty *obsessed* with RyuSae, and I’m so glad others are as well! Another LEVEL is so correct for them! Freak matching freak for sure! Your comment - yep, they are literally liberating for each other! The fact that Ryusei is SO open and unapologetic about his advances at Sae, and how Sae doesn’t turn him away. HELLO!? And yes, because soccer is sex to Ryusei and he wants to “play it with Sae forever,” two plus two equals WHAT again!? 😀 I agree, I wholeheartedly adore them as a ship! They are such a great opposites attract pairing, much like another pair with their VA’s! And yess, that comparison to Atsumu is honestly AMAZING - he’s like our “love setter” if he was just…much more unhinged! ;) Thank you so much for the comment and kind words!

What a great prep for JanuYaoi, right?! And yeah, Yuki is not in my tops for characters - he’s just “fine and great” but doesn’t really stand out because we haven’t had much with him this season to really get to know him as well, for me anyway, so yeah, sorry about that! That’s amazing about the German flag reflected in his eyes, haha, I was trying to think if there was an LGBTQA+ flag that would work for that moment, but the German Flag is great! I love that concept that Ryusei was just SO much that not even Blue Lock could contain him. I hadn’t thought of how folks were trying to change him, but that’s so true! But then Sae comes along and here we are! Ego is just out here being a matchmaker, clearly! 😛Yes, and the rest is history; I loved how you worded this! What an ode to them! I mean, this love story is on DISNEY standards…or at least AO3 ones! ;) That video you posted of Zlatan is INSANE - I had no idea that was or could be a real move - I almost thought it was just anime logic, but the fact that it exists is MADNESS! I mean, teenage athletes have probably heard something more vulgar than “I’ll knock you up,” but now that you say that, out of context and WITHOUT Ryusei’s monologue…that is HILARIOUS! I didn’t realize it but now I love that scene even more! Honestly, I think I’d prefer without the context, but either way is just wild! Tee hee, my giggle at the start of that explanation was realizing I could draw that on Whiteboard-kun, so I’m glad you all appreciated it! *bows* Ahhh, that is good to know about the rules with substitutions! I like that we’re making the story fit the sports anime timeline - I know there have been changes with the rules for series like Haikyuu and Ace of the Diamond, and the manga/anime have had to work through that in similar ways. Ego and Aizen being in the same room - can I see that, please? But yes, very similar! I do appreciate that Isagi was not going to take “settling,” too - go get what you want, son! I agree, I’m sure Ego is proud, too! 😀 Barou joining the game - I did not put 2 + 2 together to realize that now Sukuna is out there against Gojo and Geto! AHAHA!! Do you think they just show up at the recording studio and are like, “Another day, huh?” 😛 That is BRILLIANT. Good for Aiku as well - I love him as such a wholesome character, with a twinge of the crazy amidst all these soccer freaks! ;) I love that more and more players are getting into the flow and it genuinely has me excited for the rest of this season!
