Now, if my math is correct, this would be the last strip I have to give Comics Kingdom/King Features. Then my contract is up and we go our separate ways. Maybe! My math is spotty, but I double/triple-check my shit.

It was neat to try, and I'll always give them props for giving me a go. But I don't really know where I want to go with my work in comics right now. Webcomics aren't really the same anymore, unless you got a decade-long run still going. I may have been in the game for a while, but my constant changing of ideas and strips has shaken off a lot of normie-readers (I still got you sickos on patreon tho!). It's just making me pause and think what the hell I should/want to do next. I have ideas, who doesn't? But maybe, for now, I simply need a break.

So, I think I'm going to do just that. All I got now is my work with Skulltenders and pitching shows again in quarter 1 of this new year. So maybe I will just leave my work simply to "Me & You" on as daily of a basis (if I can muster the energy), so it doesn't lose its momentum (and backlog for public updating). My secret goal is that "Me & You" lasts forever and no one knows what to make of it when they read it and I die but somehow there's a new page every day. Anyone know of any fun curses?? Anyway,

I guess I wanna try more short-form stuff? More color. You know me, I come and go from ideas and things all the time here. The only thing that is constant is you putting up with me. So thank you, dear reader, for doing so.

Looking forward to whatever you make in the future!

this sicko just got their hands on a print Pinocchio and I love the bit in the afterward about Carlo Collodi just making it up as it was serialized re: resisting your old habit of writing a whole story from the onset. P was originally supposed to be killed off when he was hanged?? absurd lol anyway "Me and You" rules as a stream-of-consciousness meandering creative endeavor and is extremely appealing in that aspect. complete opposite of any other comics I'm currently reading.

not to get too long in the tooth but I will miss these theatrical goofs. I hope to see them again soon

These have been great and so has Me&You and it's always exciting to see what comes next! I remember being sad when gunshow ended but I never had any reason to be because it's only kept being something new and interesting and still funny

I feel like actual books are where your stuff should be, short or long form. Also, lemme know if you wanna talk curses.

I should say this won't be the last time we see these guys or gag comics from me. Just the end of my run with King Features and possibly "God's Hands" as a title.

just a title change and moving away from some older material. I've always done that!

I'm happy to be along for the ride and get to see wherever your comics go! Your work has been an enjoyable constant in my life for a while now, ever-changing and always interesting. :)

I personally love that you follow where the mood takes you. I think it’s actually more impressive than those people with the decade long runs that become tired and worn out. You know those bands where every album they put out sounds just like their previous one because they are sticking to their signature sound? Somehow your signature style shines through in all your art, but it’s new and fresh every time.

The thing I love best about directly supporting creative folks like yourself on Patreon is that I want y'all to be able to do whatever cool shit pops into your head without being stuck in the rigid structure of a job or contract or whatever. I know some creators feel like they "owe" their patrons something because there's money changing hands, but I don't feel that way at all. I give you money because I think you make cool stuff and I want you to continue being able to do that.
