The Wayhaven Chronicles — Update+ 10/Jan/2025 (Patreon)

Just a quick one this week as I wasn’t going to be on social media but just wanted to check in with everyone!

So this week we spent planning out the year (got some seriously fun and awesome scenarios and things planned for Patreon!), and I also read through the whole of Book Four’s plan again to refresh myself with where I’m at and where I’m going.

Book Four is pretty involved, so taking this time to look at what’s ahead really helped. I was getting a bit worried and overwhelmed as it’s taking longer than I’d like just because of it being more intensive, as well as the extra love interest route. Yet I don't want to compromise or cut out on what I have planned because all of the big and little moments are what make Wayhaven, well, Wayhaven!

As I said, I want to finish Book Four this year even with it being more, but I know I can do it!

In order to do that though, I’m planning to get a lot of social media content done this month for the year ahead, meaning that’ll open up the rest of the year so I can almost solely focus on Book Four. I’m really hoping that getting as much of that completed as I can will help with just being able to slam ahead on the writing instead of stopping and starting.

So it’ll a bit of a different routine than past years, but hopefully will make a ton of difference! And I’ve already got some scenarios finished which I am loving, including one that fits nicely between Book Three and Four that I couldn’t stop thinking about over Christmas break, hehe! :D

The demo update will also be happening—looking at getting you amazing patrons the early access to that later next week!

An echoing clang from the clock tower rings out like a toll for the dead. It's enough to rip me from my flurried thoughts. With every effort I have, I force the magic in my blood to settle, drawing it back beneath my skin and holding it there. It sizzles in my blood in protest, but I grit my teeth to ignore it.
