I'm sorry I don't care, there is no heterosexual explanation for that last scene in the observatory between Gen and Senku like what!? Not Gen literally doing the math to figure out Senku's birthday and then roping the entire village into bulding Senku a gift, i can't smh.

One of the reasons I personally think why Dr. Stone is so popular and enjoyable, I think comes down to how they write Senku's character. The genius know it all character type has been done before and sometimes they can be the most annoying character in their own show/movie. Senku is such a breath of fresh air because he's very different from those types of characters. The genius type is usually so against admitting when they can't do something bc they usually have these big egos, but you see Senku constantly not being afraid to admit when something is out of his range of capabilities and will happily accept help. They also usually look down on characters like Magma bc their not booksmart but to have a scene where Senku is like "yea you're not a genius like me but that doesn't mean you're useless or worthless" is so rare and so important. Sorry for the long rant but ugh i love this show and its characters <3.
