So I’m from Germany and we go to „Grundschule“ for 4 years from age 6/7 till 10/11 and then we can more or less choose the type of school we go to next. Gymnasium (you need good grades and with the „Abitur“ you can study, it takes 8 to 9 years to complete) or „Realschule“ (there you also choose if you want to learn more about math or language or art I think and you graduate a lot earlier after 6 years) and lastly there is „Hauptschule“ (they don’t have the best reputation and are now called „Mittelschule“ because the student’s get the chance to graduate with a similar diploma as they could have gotten in the Realschule)

I think what’s important with words in Korea is the age. I think I heard more swearing in Korea than in the UK but it was on the street between friends so I think in that aspect they don’t seem different but you have no idea how scary older people in Korea can be… even without words you jump out of their way because it’s so normal for them to be treated with more respect so I think yes words mean more to them. They don’t change verbs like us in terms of he, she or it but in terms of how much respect they want to show so I think that shows how important it is to them but that doesn’t mean they don’t swear like everyone else 😅
