Mel seemed a little confused here. There are two scrolls: heaven and earth. 13 groups got heaven and 13 got earth. You have to battle to get the other scroll you don't have. Orochimaru swallowed an Earth scroll as well as burned one heaven scroll. The current earth scroll they have, they got from the Sound Ninja for Sasuke sparing their lives. And so now they need to get a heaven scroll to past the exams. Hope that helps. As for why Naruto has scrolls, as Steph said he is a ninja. Ninja have regular scrolls.

Kakashi used a genjutsu on Sakura during the three bell test, and I guess you could consider what Orichimaru did to them as a genjutsu as well during the battle against Sasuke and Sakura.

Yeah, we've mostly seen Ninjutsu and Taijutsu at this point, but there have been a couple. Before the 1st Exam, some of the Chuunin examiners cast a Genjutsu over the exam rooms to show the wrong room/floor number, but Sakura/Sasuke saw through it. (The episode right before Rock Lee got introduced and thrashed Naruto and Sasuke.) Kakashi also used some sort of Genjutsu with his Sharingan on Zabuza in their first fight. My understanding was that he essentially Inception'd him and subtly suggested what jutsu he would use and certain thoughts, so that Zabuza would get momentarily confused/bewildered, to the point that Kakashi could get a free water dragon jutsu on him.

I feel for Rock Lee. He likely could've defeated each of the Sound ninjas in a 1 on 1 battle, but since he was faced with the prospect of all three at once and needed to protect Sakura, he took a gamble with the Hidden Lotus technique that didn't pay off. He would've destroyed Dosu, but Zaku fired an air cannon into the ground to save him.

Funnily enough, a lot of fans have actually argued whether this was a Genjutsu or not over the years. The sub they watched did have Sasuke remark that it wasn't Genjutsu, but it was simply Orochimaru's killing intent being so menacing that they were paralyzed with fear... I believe the manga says the same thing.
