Mayuri administered 2 drugs. The one for the past was given after Gigi's zombies cut the arrancar and were sprayed with their blood, and the other was given by Mayuri to take control. Mayuri's actual Zanpakuto's ability was to paralyze Toshiro's limbs when he stabbed his neck. All the other abilities were simply Mayuri's gadgets he uses in battle.

This episode to me looked way better than the rest of the season. It sucks they couldn’t sort themselves out from the beginning but at least they finally stepped it up. The visuals were great this time. Just hope it continues into the last 3 episodes. It’s also weird to me that of all episodes they went crazy on this one and not one of the really important fights like renji’s They been hyping up the finale of this season that it’s gonna look amazing but I don’t wanna get my hopes up too much cause I been disappointed by this season before. And they never explain it so it’s easy to miss but the reason why the love power didn’t work on byakuya and why the morphine attack that the checkerboard teeth guy used did nothing is because byakuya is wearing the oken clothes he got from squad 0. It’s blocking all those abilities. And lastly toshiro not doing much is cause the pacing of the new anime is hella fast. If this was the old anime zombie toshiro woulda been going around for 2 whole episodes on that one piece pacing.
