I don't think the dog was s rankz it's probably just the boss in the dungeon. That's my guess at least. The dog probably around A rank . The strength of A to S is a big amount in difference

The dog was just the guard dog to the rest of the dungeon , he was probably around high b to low a, But the gap between a and s is like a ocean of power

The dog isn't S rank it's A rank. The gap between S and A is massive though he has some ways to go before he's on the level of S rank.

For example last episode the girls talking were high ranked hunters and said they were struggling with a A-rank beast and then Cha Hae-In came and beat the beast in 1 attack.

S rank dugeons , most monsters are B+ - A rank. The boss will be S rank. Jinwoo is no where near a S rank in power. That three headed dog is a mythical zoan type creature too. Maybe its in one piece, devil fruit and one of the elders or navy top tier has it :)
