Talk regarding possible future stories (Patreon)

Ello everyone.

Wanted to chat with you all regarding possible future stories. I've got various things in the pipeline at varying levels of planning, and one thing I wanted opinions on is content that makes Patreon

Which, honestly, puts me in a bit of a creative slump, cuz then I'm at a point where I want to write something, but Patreon won't allow it to be posted. And if I do post it, they'll do what they did to a friend and demand it taken down or risk the creator page being deleted. Really fucking grinds my gears, ngl. 

I created this page with the goal of eventually being able to support myself off of it and write more and more. I'm sure you're all aware my time is pretty limited which is why it usually takes so fucking long to get something finished. Finding out about how fucking draconian this website is about some aspects of fantasy really pisses me off. According to their very own rules, if A Song of Ice and Fire had started on patreon, it would have had to be taken down. BULL. SHIT. My ASS they would have touched THAT cash cow.

So yeah, idk. What do you guys think? Would you MIND not getting early access on some content if its shit I'll end up having to delete to keep the damn page up? I've got stuff for Star Wars planned, I've had GoT ideas, shit, I had a shimaidon idea for DC with Starfire and Blackfire. But nooooooo, can't post that. Etc. Etc.

But yeah, just want to hear from you guys.

Honestly, figuring out some sort of alternate distribution system would be safer if early access is the goal.

I'm fine with it. You write good shit, if you wanna be able to post it but Patreon won't let you, just don't post it on patreon then. We can handle waiting a bit longer and read it with everyone else.

i dont mind not getting early access, to the Spicy stuff. (though, is it a possibility to maybe dump it in something like a google doc and link to that instead?)

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. You’ve got that good shit. I’m fine with not getting early access to some of your stuff and just reading it the same time as everyone else on Ao3 and ff.net. Could always just continue to post the non rule breaking stuff here if you want to continue trying to build up to make a living off of it, and just post the GoT and Shimaidon and similar everywhere else at once.

I dont pay for patreon for early access, I pay because it just gives me more reading material. So as far as I am concerned, post away, Ill read it regardless of where it ends up.

So long as you can post a notification on where it is early access is not necessary. I pay to support not for early access. Plus for some of the stories you don't post in other places. Just let me know where it is and I am reading it.

As long as "no early access" means EVERYONE gets the uploads at the same time, then I've no issues. The stories are awesome, so Patreon needs to chill out.

I must second the opinion of many hoping for more of the izuku with one piece powers in DxD, but if you are having trouble with Patreon and its policies just put it on QQ or AO3 after hitting a quota of some sort.

I'm simply supporting you because I enjoy the stuff you make, not for exclusive stuff, if this platform is being "difficult" the just pots what you write somewhere else and let us now, simple as that.

You could always make a discord and post stuff there. Just make being in the discord part of all the packages

Just as an aside, why not make a Google drive for such posts, and send links and permissions by email to people. Just put notification of said post, with a summary, into a combined post with a title like "banned posts for the month". Allows you to have the creative freedom you want. Allows your readers to read what you're posting and works its way around. Patreon's stupid regulations and rules.

Some people have suggested this, but apparently Patreon believes it has the right to police other sites as well if there are any notifications coming out of patreon. Or some shit like that. I don't remember exactly what Kairomaru told me. It was months ago.
