The most impressive part for me is that Mako didn't study Japanese calligraphy (Shodo). Shodo is an art form and is considered an essential element to zen practice, emphasizing balance and beauty of the written form.

I totally agree. The life of a trainee is hard, even in JYP, but i dont see any company which cares more about their employees than JYP. And when he talks about how happy he is when he sees the eating kids in the cafeteria, even if its cost a ton of money for the company, its not marketing bullshit. He just cares.
