hi aaron, new patron here! i'm catching up on vids atm but i had to comment on this one because i used to be a barista for 4 years, and i honestly loved watching the members learn about coffee!! at the place i worked, i was the only person there who knew how to do latte art because i taught myself by watching youtube tutorials lol. it's really fun to see the customer's reaction with they get a coffee with a pretty design in it, but as you can see from the member's attempts, it's quite difficult to achieve, you really need to know exactly how much to steam the milk so it's a bit tricky. the taste of the coffee depends mostly on the beans used, beans from different continents taste very different, and it also depends on the way you roast them as well, for example a 'dark roast' coffee taste more bitter. to me the drinks they made at the end seemed more like cocktails but maybe those types of coffees are more popular in korea? you guessed right about the spoon, if you pour the esspresso shot into the milk straight away, it will sink to the bottom because its a constant stream on pressure going into the milk. by using a spoon, the wieght of the coffee is dispersed more evenly so it stays on top! thanks for this reaction!
