Iu's real name is Lee Ji Eun but her nickname is Lee Ji Geum (Eun meaning silver and Geum meaning gold heheh and gold is better than silver). Lee jigeum (dlwlrma typed into a korean keyboard) also means 'this moment'. In addition, Lee Ji Dong, 'dong' meaning bronze.

About her helping junior artists, She was actually secretly providing music studios and practice room for free to her juniors And how this story went public is kind of funny IU once had an accusation of land speculation. and for this, some people called her two-faced and manipulative but at same day evening, IU clarified alongside with photos that it's not for land speculation, and it's actually being used for her mother's office and free studios for junior artists she was doing this for over a year but nobody even knew about this so at the end of the day, it was just another stupid accusation that somehow ended up making her reputation even better PS. some of those juniors are playing at her 'IU's palette' as a house band
