I don’t think Wook was upset at Hae Soo for caring about So, but more so upset at why she was caring for another and not herself when she was in a really bad situation. I pity Wook so much because he had no other way but to turn away from Hae Soo because of his family. 😢😢 My WookSoo heart can not handleeeeee lol!

The reason why Wook’s mother was kneeling down in front of Queen Yoo was because Queen Yoo has so much power that she can harm Wook and Yeon Hwa. As mentioned in the earlier episodes and this episode, Queen Yoo had tried everything to get rid of anyone who has the potential to be her son’s rival for the throne. Queen Yoo sent the poisoned tea to Court Lady Oh so that Lady Oh’s baby would die in her womb. Queen Yoo then made it look like it was Queen Hwangbo (Wook’s mother) who sent that poisoned tea to Lady Oh. This is why Wook’s family was once forced to leave the palace and lost their power (but Wook’s marriage to Lady Hae gave him enough power to re-enter the palace). Wook’s mother was afraid that Queen Yoo might harm their family again if she was unhappy with what Wook might do to help Soo. If Wook had approached Soo and helped her in the rain, that might lead him to be punished for not following the king’s order, plus, it may anger Queen Yoo and put his family into danger again. That’s why he turned his back to her again. He chose to protect himself and his family by abandoning Soo, which is sad but very cruel if you put yourself into Hae Soo’s position.
