It would be really cool if you could check out Alice In Borderland. It's a Japanese drama on Netflix with 8 episodes that came out in 2020 with a similar premise as squid game. The two get compared a lot. Some swear Alice In Borderland is better while others are all for squid game. I think it all comes down to personal preference so I would be really really interested to see what you think. If this would be your first Japanese drama, it might be a bit of a culture shock and take some time to get used to. But it is very enjoyable for me and lots of other people. So yeah, I hope you take it into consideration

Do check out Mouse ! It's a kdrama revolving something called the Psychopathic gene, where they determine whether a newborn will develop into a murderer when he grows up. It's a detective,crime murder show so do check it out! Many plot twists:)

I hope you watch next drama to be historical for a change. I highly recommend watching Mr. Queen. Its full on comedic drama and will be a good change after watching such a heavy series.

It is true that everyone was desperate, but the reason was that unlike Sang-woo, who had a clear goal of getting money, Gi-hoon had nowhere to avoid anymore. The reason why Gi-hoon turned around in front of the plane may be because he wanted to solve the wound in some way. It is Gi-hoon's way of acting with his body rather than thinking with his head.(As always, he has no special plans or countermeasures.) And it's also for Season 2^^; ... It's too obvious, but any difficulty is better than a life-threatening game, so we can be grateful at any difficult moment. And there are many things more precious than money. Anyway, if it's human destiny to die once, I think it's not bad to try it until the end rather than to leave my life to luck.

I give this drama a 6 out of 10. It is definitely well written for the most part, there are probably a lot of underlying messages and symbolism that I missed. The acting, the sets and the production were amazing as well. I liked that we actually got to see what was going on ''behind the scenes'' through the cop. I thought he was going to get caught and killed right away, so that was quite unexpected. But where it failed to catch me was the characters. They were, although quite realistic, pretty unlikable. Which is why I had a hard time emphasizing and did not get attached to or cared for any of them much. Because of that I wasn't really affected by any of their deaths and some scenes, primarily in episode 6, even bored me a little. For me personally, the characters are one of if not the most important aspect of dramas. If I like and care for them enough, I'm going to want to see their story and root for them all the way and I'll be able to overlook some plotholes or uninteresting parts etc. if I don't, these things become much more evident. and I'll have a harder time staying interested throughout the whole show. Squid game didnt impact me enough to ever want to rewatch it on my own, or even think about it much and have that lingering feeling you get after an amazing show. But that's is just my personal preference and view on it. Fun fact, the actress that played Saebyeok is actually a model and this was her first ever acting job. And also, she is very close friends with Blackpink's Jennie. Jennie even visited the set during the shoot.
