I love this documentary but I think Blackpink’s fan made documentary on YouTube “blackpink journey and friendship” does a much better job at showing their love, connection, and emotions.

Yes, you are correct—Jennie is expressing her frustrations about their comebacks and releases. This is a very interesting documentary since the director, Caroline Suh, revealed that she was given free rein by YG Entertainment. The only guideline set to her was that don’t push the girls to talk about things they’re not comfortable with. That’s why you will see in the next part, Jisoo won’t be talking about her family life so much. She has always been so private about family matters (I think because her family is said to be actually very prominent in the entertainment industry). Jennie also mentioned only her mom but not her dad. Her dad has always been a mystery—Jennie’s family is extremely rich but her father keeps a very low profile. But you will notice how candid they were in what they say especially about their music, and other things related to it. Also, airing your frustration on your current company’s handling of your comeback in a documentary is surprising.
