I know it’s late and you’re nearly done with the series but wanted to clarify what they meant by the empathy thing. It was stated he had low emotional empathy, meaning he rarely or ever feels empathy but has a high cognitive empathy which means he knows when to act empathetic to gain sympathy or be controlling in a situation so people can trust him i.e he does so consciously in order to manipulate instead of unconsciously out of feelings.
